Well, none of the Souls games pushed the graphical boundaries, either, so that does not really surprise me.
Not being able to roll while locked on is pretty lame, though. Rolling to survive was an essential tool. The one early gameplay report I saw advised against using too much care in approaching enemies and suggested more aggression than you might have used in Souls. |

Exactly why im calling " early attention grabber". Weve seen very recent gameplay videos and they are far from " barely better than ps3 graphics. ".

I wonder when IGN and Gamespot will have their reviews up, I'm curious to see what they give it. Apparently it's a 40+ hour game so it could take them some time to beat it but since it's a single player only game they should be able to get up a review fairly quick if they have their review copies early enough as they won't have any multiplayer stuff to test out.

It seems that anyone can expect to die a lot at first, but with experience the game becomes "easier". I find the blood mechanic interesting, as it encourages offense instead of turtling/ avoidance. |

I think it totally sucks that some guys can get their hands on this early (or that the rest of us can't). Not blaming those who got it, but really, this is just stupid that most of us have to wait for some arbitrary moment, when the product is already there.

Yea i dont get it. Like i get my movies 2 weeks early. If the studios give them to the retailers that early why not just make the release date at that time. |

I was hoping they would get rid of that sticky effect, where the enemies you walk over attach to your character and slow you down. There's no reason for that other than to annoy the player. |

Also, anyone who honestly thinks this game looks like a high res PS3 game is nuts. I'd say if this game doesn't impress you visually, then you're setting your expectations WAYYY to high for this generation. Also comparing it to The Order really isn't fair because we can all see what sacrifices needed to be made in the game play department in order to achieve that level of visual fidelity. While The Order may look great, there has to be a balance between visuals and gameplay. It's obvious that RAD spent the lion's share of development focused on visuals with The Order. |

It's really interesting how games nowadays almost always have day one patches to fix things. I'd prefer for developers to take their time and release a game that doesn't need patches (especially ones that need multiple patches).

I think we would all like that, but that's just not the way it's gonna be most of the time. With tight deadlines, and all that good stuff. It's not how it should be, but it's the reality I guess.

True, and I understand that. But, with some games, they can get delayed to put out things of quality rather than just be released on schedule.

Personally I don't care about patches. If a day 1 patch fixes/makes the game better than I'm all for it being handled that way. If a game comes out and needs all these patches that are spread out over months after launch than yeah, a delay should have happened. |
