FTW or Tie w/ HD DVD

1. A 100 dollar player by xmas.
2. Disney or Fox switch sides.
3. Disney and Fox go neutral.
4. All Spielberg releases with Universal come out only for HD DVD.

Any more guys?
I think the only disadvantage for Blu Ray is the current lack of titles, and I mean classic back catalog titles like the Bond Movies - although they are not available on HD DVD as well.

But the studios need to push this very fast. I see a lot of titles (and also some which are still coming) which are not really the 1st choice for many Blu Ray supporters. We would need the "big" ones, now!

I don't see a 100.00 HD DVD player by xmas being that big a deal...

not when the movies are that expensive....and anyone looking for a great deal will see the movie prices and say "no thanks"...

if they release too many movies right now, they will take a production hit that will take some time to recover from...

I think they could do a little bit better with putting out older movies along with the new releases...but even some of their supposed new releases aren't hitting the shelves like Da Vinci Code...shouldn't that have hit the shelves

even though I thought that movie could have been done alot better..

but if they released a few more titles like Batman Begins and the Spider-man movies, we'd see a much bigger margin and I think their gameplan is to wait for HD DVD to throw out their last "hurrah" and then squash them out with these new releases so the consumer can see all these "new" movies for BD that aren't out for HD DVD along with some of HD DVD's best titles that are on "our" format as well...

once the Matrix trilogy, Batman Begins, Spider-man 1+2 come out along with the newer movies in theaters that are Bd exclusive...we'll see a much wider margin of victory here....

I honestly think this format war could be all but over by this time next year...especially after the holidays..
