I am watching Harold and Kumar 2 right now and am experiencing the pops as well.

Now, from what I understood, the original "bitstream-bomb" only happened when bitstreaming the DTS-HDMA audio-track to selected receivers, i.e Onkyo for which a DSP update was made available.

I only have a PS3, coupled to an Onkyo 805, so I cannot bitstream and only get PCM instead. I never got around in applying the DSP update; but due to PCM also never experienced this issue.

In this particular movie however, I AM hearing pops; even though it's PCM and not bitstreamed. So what's up with this?
