This will be my first Fast & Furious in the theater since Tokyo Drift. It looks like fun, but reading this thread now also leads me believe they will definitely have an emotional send off for Paul. Cool with me. It seems to me now that he was like the male flip side of Mila Jovovich. He did movies like F&F as bill payers, but nevertheless brought passion and professionalism to it all, and did little indie films on the side to build his acting fred. I loved him and Steve Zahn together in Joy Ride.

Out side of Star Trek how many Leonard Nimoy films have you seen?

Almost EVERY movie Nimoy was in outside of Star Trek was a low budget tv movie. the biggest no ST movie he was every involved with was TRANSFORMERS 3.

I'm not defending Paul Walker as some sort of high art super-influential actor, but he was WAY more prolific outside of F&F than Nimoy was outside of Star Trek. Varsity Blues, Into the Blue, Flags of our Fathers, Takers, Hours, Brick Mansions..... These may not all be the "best" movies, but they still outweigh the impact of Nimoy's non-Star Trek work.

If you're going to make an argument that Paul Walker's death didn't matter, you'll need a better comparison than Spock.

Spirit Zero is a fitting name.

"Furious 7" sounds like a reboot of Snow White in which the dwarves have to rescue her from a terrorist and are all played by Liam Neeson.

Thank you for this. This would be quite fun. "If you let her go now we won't look for you, and we won't find you. If you don't, we will find you, and we will kill you."

Oh yeah. But seven Liam Neesons? I think the awesomeness might be just too much for our brains to handle.

I rewatched 1-5 this week, and I'll rewatch 6 tomorrow. I liked 1 and 4 just as much as I did before, 2 a little less, and 3 a little more. I already liked 5 a lot before, but I loved it this time. It's such a badass, relentless, and most importantly, FUN action flick. Dwayne Johnson should have been in at least one of the Expendables.

2 is outdated and cheesy. I always get a nice chuckle out of the scene where Brian and Roman are walking and Brian says "I said forget about it cuh!" I like to watch the film for the relationship between Brian and Roman. They have nice chemistry together and it's the biggest redeeming factor of the film.

I can understand why Vin wanted nothing to do with it:

"They didn't take a Francis Ford Coppola approach to it. They approached it like they did sequels in '80s and '90s, when they would drum up a new story unrelated for the most part, and slap the same name on it."

I consider the "main" series at this time to be 1, 4, 5, 6, 7. (3 is a spinoff in the truest sense of the word and I consider 2 and 3 to be movies that can be easily skipped).

I love Fast Five. That's the one that really changed the series. It's no longer about cars or drag racing, but it's also just a big, huge, loud, fast action/heist movie. It's fun as hell. Some of the lines they give Johnson in this one are cheesy, but it's such a fun, likeable movie that you don't mind. The cast has great chemistry, there are some good one liners, and the action is well-realized, awesome, fun, and big. It's just a great movie to relax and watch. Same for six.

Seven looks like it might be the best so far. Who would have guessed mostly horror director James Wan could have delivered an action movie like this? I'm expecting he'll be tapped for a comic book movie soon. Anyway, can't wait for this movie and I love how they keep getting bigger and bigger with each installment.
