The extension of the sub can only go so far before bottoming out or clipping from certain frequencies, scenes, or fast action sequences. The only thing you should worry about to make sure that it works with the amp is that it is powered.

I'll be posting my review of the Elemental Designs A2-300 in a week and a half or so. (About when it's supposed to come) That's the sub I'd recommend for you, unless your budget limits or allows for something different that is.
