All of these titles being discussed, who's to say Scream hasnt tried to get them before ... Im pretty sure they have gone down a lot of avenues to get the titles we want. I can see Scream doing a CE for Killer Klowns and I have a feeling they might have Bubba Ho Tep.
That Phantasm set would be nice, IF they make another deal with Universal. There might be some behind the scenes reason that a new deal hasnt been made. Kino is SF's biggest "competition* as far as I can tell, and Kino has a more interesting slate of horror titles , at least to me, because I prefer older movies

Bubba Ho-Tep would be an excellent announcement. The DVD is non-anamorphic, so I would welcome the upgrade. I think all the blu-rays of it released in other countries are region locked.

Which DVD? I'm pretty sure the US and UK special editions are anamorphic.

I seem to recall that the U.S. Collector's Edition was non-anamorphic, but it's been a long time since I've played that disc. I've noticed some online reviews claiming that it is anamorphic, so I may be mistaken. Unless it got a re-release that I wasn't aware of.

I'm really hoping for a full boat special edition of PHANTASM.... all of the cast is still here with us so they could get brand new interviews and special features.... this would be a huge seller for them without question!

Theyve shot down Phantasm since Scream First first existed. I really hope that will change.. the big list of SF wants Ive seen over the years and still arent released on blu ray by anyone are
Phantasm, Rawhead Rex, Hell Night, Psycho IV , to a lesser extent Fade To Black..
Some are from the good ol' Anchor Bay days.. Anyone remember a film called The Johnsons that AB released ? I wonder if anyone has that one

I'm actually surprised that a release of Little Monsters isn't on the horizon. It seems like a title that would sell moderately well and, despite being a children's movie, is dark enough to fit into the Scream line. They don't make them like that anymore.

I've mentioned it quite a few times, it would make a great release. Especially if they could nab Roy Frumkes for an interview; he's had some interesting things to say about the genesis of the film and the original script. Plus, the movie itself is just pure insanity.

Don't forget the elusive Fright Night 2.

Fright Night 2 has become a collector's whatsit, but I'm not sure about the widespread appeal beyond the crowd of OOP chasers. When are we just gonna admit that FN2, as a film, collectability aside, kinda sucks?

With Howie Mandel and Fred Savage? When I was a kid we wore out around 4 or 5 VHS of that cause my brothers and friends of ours wore it out so much due to watching it so often.

There is a UK Blu-ray release but it has quite a lot of DNR though. Was released early on in the format I think. I always keep wondering when they'll make the sequel. Hopefully if Anchor Bay or Scream releases this fun movie on Blu-ray it'll have all the bonus features from the UK 2-DVD release.
More Bruce Campbell anything on Blu-ray, with a nice transfer original cinematic audio and a heap of extras, is win-win with me.

thank you! I love the original FRIGHT NIGHT.... I was never impressed at all with this sequel. I had no idea that there was any type of fanbase for this mediocrity...

Some people are just Completists. Fright Night II was alright but it's been too long since I've watched it.
I know I am for 007, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, working on some others but yeah. Halloween: Complete Collection, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th boxsets are a few I'm aiming to buy eventually even though some of the films I barely even enjoy and others just so I can marathon.
The Fright Night remake was decent and I haven't seen its sequel to it, not very interested though.

Problem is most TCM films were already released on Bluray separately and most fans already got them, with the exception of TCM 3 and 4.
I don't see fans double dipping on all films for this set just for parts 3 and 4, which are the least popular.

I'm interested in Phantom of the Paradise, but I was wondering what makes the Arrow release better than the Scream release? Is it features, or PQ/AQ?

Wouldn't say I prefer it, but it's one of the few sequels that I think stands close to its predecessor.
Miles away better than the dreadful overrated Jaws sequel in my opinion...

I think JAWS 2 is a far better film, but I will take Fright Night 2 over JAWS 3 and 4 anytime...
