I summoned someone and we beat him in like one minute. I'm still enjoying myself and adapting. I've read some of the comments and I hope I'm able to keep enjoying it. Some of the People who were telling me to give the game a chance are now sounding like they're Ready to call it quits lol.

I'm not there yet. but he last two days has been frustrating. I get the challenge and I knew it would be so from the beginning. But this is the first time I've ever had to look up guides and tips just to begin a game.

I don't find the game ugly, at least what I've played. Of course I love that gothic look anyway. But it does get boring playing the same section again and again.

I don't think so. There are areas you have to get to, to avoid his fire. I just did that about 6 hours ago.

I've killed everything there is to kill. Even made my way back to Cathedral Ward from there.

Nope you're where I'm at. I took on the forbidden woods, and that where I've been, but honestly, I burnt myself out on this one. I'll put it away for a while before coming back. The black art scheme just drives me nuts. It's gothic and interesting at first, but EVERY area looks the same. Every boss being a variation of a werewolf makes the fights all feel exactly the same too. Sure, there's some slight behavior patterns and difficulty spikes, but it's all pretty much giant werewolf that swipes at you with different elemental attacks. Lore wise, it makes sense. It's what the curse does. Gameplay wise though, it's just not as varied as souls. Souls had such varied level design, enemies, bosses, NPCs, lore, items and a better summoning system.

Bloodborne is a great game. It just feels rushed in a sense.

Didn't come prepared for the third boss. I had the axe extended the whole time & knew

but every swing barely did any damage. I have 169 Physical Damage on the +3 Axe. Wow.. for a first attempt.. I just got slaughtered. My best one-time damage on the beast was 189.

Hi Everyone,
I want to get this game but upon reading all these comments now I am not sure, I do like challenging games, but not to the point where it is almost impossible lol, I am pretty far in both Dark Souls games but not beaten either, is this on par with those or is it a little bit easier or harder then those? I so badly want to add this to my collection, thanks for the help.

Its different than souls the bosses here are nearly impossible .

If you were a melee character in souls this game should be very easy for you i played every souls game as a mage so getting my ass kicked but co op has been outstanding

Me either. Im starting to think this game really was built with expectations of people playing together. Sorta like the monster hunter series. Is it possible alone ? Of course but much easier eith others.

I also keep seeing yosh posting about his chalice dungeons in the game. I get the feeling that is where the end game will really be about once everyones played for awhile. The random dungeons

Nearly impossible to solo at a reasonable character level. Co-op has been fine, but finding a co-op parter or partners when you want one has been difficult.

I think he meant solo and in comparison to Dark Souls or DSII.

I tried offline mode just to see if the frame rate seems a little more stable; it does - at least, to my eyes

Beat the Witch in the second area - almost easy by Bloodborne standards - just ignore the minions

Finally got the Vicar Amelia boss - satisfying...level 39 and she went down pretty easy now with the help of co-op partner; just hit her from behind and she goes down

So, now, where to go? Both those areas: Vicar and Witch lead to dead ends....

Thats too bad. I've been finding lots of games to play but now not so much since I've gotten past Lvl 80

Not really. Maybe, if you played a DEX based melee you can survive. But if you played a tank, it does not translate.

Right, if you were light on ur feet and dashing all over the place you're ok in this one.

In Demon, DS and DSII I ALWAYS played as a mage. Even in PvP. I got to lvl 200 in Demons 501 in DS and 270 in DSII.
The switch to not have a soul spear has been shocking to say the least.

The bosses in co op are fun...solo not so much. They aren't impossible but down right nasty.
