It's not RPG much at all. In fact none. There are starting "classes" and weapons, but all those differences shortly disappear. It's a skill-based melee weapon fighting game with a gun that acts more as a shield. It has no similarities to RPG's such as Dragon Age.

Either the Forbidden Woods or you can go to Yahar'Gul Unseen Village(this first visit is optional but you won't be able to kill that boss later on so I recommend going here before you kill the spider). To get there go back to the Cathedral Ward and get grabbed/die by one of those big guys with the bags.

How do I get to the forbidden woods?

I've been to Unseen Villiage but it was to tough for me, so that Paarl Beast vanishes if I beat the spider first?

It is still a western style rpg made by Japanese developers just like Demon's Souls.

It's an action RPG if you want to label it as such, but it's really not. It's really it's own genre, calling it an RPG is a disservice.

Go right as you leave the Grand Cathedral.

The whole area changes. But you can beat Darkbeast Paarl after the spider and The One Reborn. There is an NPC there before the spider, though. She would not talk to me when I was there before. Now she is gone. But she can apparently be sent to the clinic or chapel.

Yeah, don't kill the spider yet. Let one of the big guys with a hood and a bag over his shoulder kill/take you.

To get to the Forbidden Woods, use the lamp in the Hunter's Dream to go to the Great Cathedral where you killed Vicar Amelia(woman who changes into that healing wolf beast). Go all the way down the great stairs and through the big gate into that circular graveyard that has two giants. Once you enter that graveyard head to the right side and behind one of the giants is a newly opened path. You'll eventually come across an NPC that you can talk to, forgot his name but you can ask him about a few different places within the world. He's on a ledge but there is a staircase going down, keep in that direction and it leads to the Woods.

If you already killed Rom I don't think you can go there until later when the area has changed a bit for a new boss.

There was someone in a chair right before the spider boss. I did talk to the person. Later found out you could kill her/him & get an item. Can't remember what the item is called.

So I was not able to complete Eileens quest line. At the time, I did not know she was fighting with that hunter. I ended up killed, anyway. I returned to find her badge, but I can't get her other drops.

With a helper, beat The One Reborn.

Did you guys turn your Gold Pendant and Tear Stone into usable stones or gems?

That won't scare her off, hitting the door at the top of the stairs. I did it a few times to see if she would say something different and she was still there later when I sent people to her. When you took the backroute where the blue guys were there is a staircase and when you approace it she should talk and tell you not to come up. If you leave immediately she'll be back at the door again but if you go up and piss her off you won't be able to get a certain item later.

Update: she is not there.....but the item for the stagecoach crossing was there. Is that the item you are referring?

She's not at the closed doors or the back entrance? If she's not at the doors the moon in your game might already be orange.

When the moon is orange go to the clinic from the back and find that staircase. Go up and she should be

[Show spoiler]on a table in the doggy style position. She's pregnant and if you kill her you get 1 "1/3 umbilical cord", you need two more of these to fight a secret boss later on which I haven't made it to yet.

How important are Arcane & Bloodtinge?

Gonna try & get Darkbeast Paarl but first there is 1 hunter I'm having difficulty with after boss 8. I've died around 5 times with that hunter.

I don't care how high your level is in this game, if you do not have mad skills, you will still get your @ss handed to you.

Yeah, you really need to be good at side stepping and rolling and when to attack or not attack.

Which boss was boss 8? I'm trying to remember which hunter you're at.

As for Arcane & Bloodtinge, I haven't level'd up either of those and I'm at lvl 79 right now. Not sure what Bloodtinge is all about and I never cared for spells in these games.

Beat the Cleric Beast only took 4 or 5 tries. Now to figure out where to go next.

After spider boss. I think I missed my chance at Darkbeast Paarl. I don't see any Giants with bags, just a huge axe & when I approach, they attack to kill. I did get the Blood Starved Beast which is optional.

What is the best place to spawn at to get to the area where the giant grabs you?

Arcane or Bloodtinge does boost you Pysical DEF (but not by much) if you level it up but I'm curious if there is stuff later on that made you wish you did.
