I had NAT issues with Steve, so I couldn't hear what he was telling Eric in the gorgon maze. Next thing I know, we all die because Eric was hunting gorgons and trying to kill them.

Vault was always confusing to me since I didnt start doing it until right before darkness below came out. I have still only really done Atheon a bunch.

I hate the fact that you can get ascendant materials in so many ways and yet only one way to get radiant materials. I have so much useless ascendant materials it's not even funny. At the rate I'm going it'll take 6 months to level up my raid gear and at that point it's just not looking worth it.

I think Ascendant stuff will still be useful for HOW legendary stuff so not completely worthless. I havent made all 3 of my characters 32 since I wanted to horde radiant material for HOW.

Of course all this could change if Bungie changes materials or make new ones for no reason other than to continue the grind.

I can't remember exactly who it was now, but we took a noobie through VoG a month or two ago, and after killing Atheon, Steve convinced the guy there was a chest in the back of the room off the end of the platform that only first-timers could get if they made the jump correctly. It was quite funny watching this person run and leap to his death amidst the laughter.

It's all in fun, and should be considered a right of passage for the new guys.

He did that to me on my 1st VOG run too.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure I fell for it too.

I think I got hit with the "mystery chest" after the disappearing bridge part. "you just jump of the overhang and there is a cave with a chest"

You mean you actually haven't got the 1 time secret chest. I'll show you where to jump too next time we do Atheon.

We've all been there. Obtaining radiant materials is an exponential function. You never have enough early-on, but as you progress you find you have way more than you need. I've got a full set of raid gear for each of my three guys plus fully leveled extra pieces with different stats, along with 13 or more fully leveled raid weapons. Last I checked, I had well over 100 radiant shards and energy sitting in the vault. Just run the raid on hard every week, if you can. If not, run it on normal. The materials will quickly build-up.

hazing is to be expected. You guys got me more legendary and exotic gear in an hour than I've gotten myself in the couple of months I've been playing.

Poor Benny, dosent have a G-horn. The Crota rocket launcher is just as good and dosent take up an Exotic slot.

I do that with our normal raid party every week, doesn't keep stuck from collecting one every other time we play though.
