Yeah, I had one pretty good go with him. About 60% down. The big problem with this is his attacks, including ranged attacks, ignore the columns in the room, so there is no safe place to heal. This dev team sucks in that regard. No excuse for enemies or the gamer to be able to strike through obstacles. It's present in the dungeons and in the story game. It's BS. I'm kinda bored with these dungeons, but I'm too close to the end to quit.

Talked to Gilbert, he doesn't go.
Got ol lady to go.
The prostitue would not go because I hadn't killed Vicar.
The guy wouldn't go because I forgot to go to the Clinic.

- killed Vicar
- Entered Clinic from Woods.
- Left Clinic, went back & door was shut so I could now send people.
- Got Prostitue & mean guy in Clinic now.
- Talked to Crow.
- Killed BSB.

Now I need the Cannibal from woods & Nun. I have not been taken to Unseen Village because I have not run into any Bag men yet.

Oh, I have not run into Alfred. Probably because I had the evil Oath equipped..

Got Cannibal, now mean guy is replaced by an item.
Killed Alfred, got Blood Dreg.

You need to beat Vicar Amelia to get the prostitute and the guy across from her to go to the Chapel. Just remember to tell the guy to go to the clinic because he'll do the opposite of what you say. Make sure to get snagged by one of those cloaked bag men to take you to Hypogean Gaol(first visit to Unseen Village)so you can send the Nun below the jail cells to the Chapel. I suggest looking for the bag men before you kill Vicar Amelia just in case. On NG++ I didn't come across any of them and I was burning through the game pretty fast so I'm not sure at what point they weren't there anymore, or at least the one spot I check where one usually is. You need to be wearing either the white/black church attire or Executioner Garb like I had on. Otherwise she won't ask for help. I'm sure you already sent the old lady there by now. Those are the only four people I believe you can send there. The Nun is the one who kills the prostitute but only if you take blood from the prostitute 3 times I believe. So either don't take any at all or just twice if you want her blood vial which isn't necessary of course. The nun also gives blood to you too. The old lady dies if you she leaves twice to get you more sedative. If she is gone and leaves a note she'll be back but if you want her to stay alive I suggest you don't tell her your "woes" if she asks. That's when she'll give you more sedatives. If she leaves a second time she'll be found dead outside that room(going out the left doorway from the lamp).

Do I need to worry about this on my first playthrough?

and I found the circular graveyard with the 2 giants you mentioned, I was thinking of a different area, that's why I couldn't find a path out

Someone else metioned losing their blood spot in the Forbidden woods the other day. Same thing happened to me. I left 170k echoes their, get back, clear the area and no spot to be found.

Does the bloodtinge stat or the weapon level affect the size of the window in which you can parry? Or does neither? It was a quality of the shield in Souls.

It's a big area, if you cleared all enemies like you said then it could be hidden well. Also sometimes where you died exactly isn't the same drop of your echoes but should be in the area before entering a new. I've been killed by an enemy in The Forbidden Woods, & found my echoes from an enemy on the other side of the freakin map from a different enemy that killed me.

Not sure about Bloodtinge, as enemies are all more aggressive in NG++ but I find I've been having to back-step more then once to dodge an attack from taller enemies, not Giants. The window does seem shorter then before I leveled up but am not 100% on that.

Yes, & hopefully some DLC. I found 2 dead ends with normal doors that can't be opened. They might also be working on better online.

One of them being next to the room with all the vases and the one treasure chest? That would bugged me as I 'couldn't figure' it out

And it leads to nowhere, currently


Serious question: what's everyones taken on how slow/dead the online aspect of the game is?

I ran the bell to get help on a boss, and nada - after 10 min I gave up. A game two weeks in should still be pretty busy in this area, i would think?

After you beat the first boss on the Bridge. There is a gate & door behind where he jumps down to kill you as well.

When you ring the bell, do you only have the freedom of being near a boss? I mean you can't just ring it anywhere? Maybe the online portion would work better if they got rid of the hunter tombstones everywhere & message advise because that's all I've seen online so far.

Thanks! Yeah, I knew that you could open it from the inside but forgot how because in all three playthroughs I just bought the emblem for the door.

A few pages back I had posted a few screen caps about that door near the chest past the room with all the pots. It has to be for future DLC. I can't remember where but there was another door or two that you were also unable to open. There was DLC for both Darksouls games so I imagine there should be some for Bloodborne. After I got the platinum trophy on NG++ I didn't start NG+++ because in Darksouls you need to do a few things to access the new area they had as DLC. I want to make sure if they do something like that again I won't be passed a point that might be important.

I think you can ring it in most areas of the zone you're in. My cousin and I would both be on our Bluetooth headsets(the earpiece that comes with the PS4) chatting it up while we're doing different things in our own game and he would sometimes get called into someone else's game to help them but he would be far from the boss and apparently the guy who called him ran past a lot of enemies because he had to fight a bit to get there.

It also depends on your level. I read you need to roughly be within 10 levels of each other. That way you can't call someone in to help that might be say level 80 while you're only at 40 which would make the fight too easy I guess.

Even on NG++ I couldn't really get any help. First time playing this game I didn't ask anyone for help, wanted to do it all on my own. I grinded so much in the Dungeons that even in NG++ I didn't have a problem with any of the bosses, I was slightly OP at my level and I guess most people were under my level, even in a worldwide search.

This is getting so ridiculous. Pthumerian Descendant's range is just stupid. I dispatched Rom in 3 minutes flat in NG+. Darkbeast took barely longer. And I can't beat this SOB. Once he transforms, half his attacks are one hits. And there is no timing for the parry. It's completely off. If you time it as he attacks, you will never get it. You just randomly shoot and hope.

It's not broken. It's just bad. And the summoner gets tired of waiting so goes about his business. I've played in other player's games where I never saw the other player and had no clue where he was. But I was getting XP from his kills, and I just went about killing things to gain XP without risk until I was sent back.

I Hadn't tried ^ as strategy.

This boss has the best range of attack compared to any other imo. I fought 2 incarnations of him.

Only chance I had was to stay close until your health is low. You can't hide thanks to weapons going through pillars & such.
