Nah, it's gotta be Leia being given the lightsaber. That's the point of the shots in the teaser: "My father has it" [shot of Vader's melted mask], "I have it" [shot of a hooded figure with robo hand touching Artoo, i.e. it's Luke], "My sister has it" [shot of a feminine figure receiving the lightsaber, i.e. it's Leia].

Agreed. I find microscoping movie trailers silly at best. It's a new Star Wars movie people, enjoy the ride!

You're damned right it is. I haven't felt so excited in seeing a trailer in God knows how long. Got tears in my eyes for reals, yo.

The only difference between me and the twelve year old girls is I didn't scream and cry.

Well, not at the same time, anyway

I love seeing stuff like that. And how the crowd goes quiet for just brief second towards the end was great!

Same here, it makes it for me.
But I am glad I saw it clean first.

The last time a trailer made me feel like this was... oh yeah, it was when I saw the first teaser for this movie.

What the hell is happening to me? I can't handle the "Chewie, we're home," part.

The new teaser was cool, but I found Han a little too self-aware in that brief moment. Harrison's been away from the character far longer than Mark or Carrie with theirs, so I hope the film places everything in the right context.

I'm also a little confused as to why Vader's helmet survived, and what Luke meant by "my father has it". Unless he's been communing with Anakin's ghost, shouldn't it be "had", in the past tense?

You missed a ton of pages.

Yes to both. I'm glad I watched the trailer first but that reaction video amps everything up another dozen notches.

Can't say it did the same for me, I was more interested in arguing with people that it wasn't Benedict Cabbagepatch doing the voiceover. But this is something else, I get such a buzz watching that the new trailer it's crazy. I thought I was too old and cynical to get this excited about a new movie, but the power of Star Wars has proved me wrongo.
