So wait, is the chick the bad-ass black chrome trooper? I don't think the franchise has seen such a bad-ass looking villain since Vader. The trooper looks way more menacing than the guy with cape.

Well, that's one wild guess like all the others, which range from 1.2 to 2.2 billion worldwide. Avengers sits at 623mil domestic / 895mil foreign for a total of 1.5 billion, and it's not much of a stretch to see Ep. VII making similar numbers.

I like to think Kylo Ren is the new Vader, and that Gwendoline's character is the new Captain Piett... just more badass.

Yep. Pretty darn cool, huh? Star Wars rumors being what they are, it's being said that she does use a lightsaber at some point.

I was 11 years old when Return of the Jedi came out in the summer of '83. I recall that movie experience fondly like it was yesterday with the longest line I had ever waiting in for a ticket. (no online in those days) lmao. The audience clapped and cheered as Vader walked off his shuttle, and cheered when Lando destroyed the Death Star. I would eventually see it 10 times while it played that summer. For many of us who grew up with the Original Trilogy either seeing all three on the big screen or a vast majority on VHS/Beta/LD/DVD the talk of a sequel trilogy was just that, talk. Then in 1999 the prequel trilogy sparked a new generation of fans and literally pissed off the core fans of the now middle trilogy. Which brings us to today's Episode VII 2nd teaser. I have watched it live via my cell phone when it hit, and have watched it several times at home and I am still so freaking pumped for this flick. I understand that this new trilogy isn't going to focus on the original trio, but hearing Luke's lines from Jedi and the obvious reveal of Han Solo & Chewbacca at the teasers end was a fantastic and almost unreal bunch of images. Never did we think back in 1983 that the series we love would get the sequel trilogy that we wish we had in 1999. The excitement for this new 2 min tease has truly made me feel 30 years younger and wanting to see this new episode sooner than later and to appreciate the movie going experience as I'm sure we all will come December 18th! May the Force be with us All!

So I'm guessing she'll be trained in the jedi arts just like General Grievous.

HAN.jpg

Chewie looks older in A New Hope.

Harrison Ford hasn't looked that happy in years.....

thus, Star Wars fans are!

So the Chrometrooper is basically the new bad-ass character like Boba Fett.

Hopefully, the Chrometrooper will leave a more memorable mark than the wasted bad-asses from the previous films - Boba Fett (from the OT), Darth Maul and Jango Fett (from the PT).

And, just in case you didn't know, she's 6ft 3, and can pull off bad-ass reasonably well:

The trailer states, "Lucas Films". I don't understand, George Lucas is not the director of the new film, so why still have his name/trademark, as opposed to saying a film by J.J. Abrams? I thought George Lucas wasn't any way involved in the new film?
