Knowing EA, space battles will probably be added as DLC.

There hasn't been a better Star Wars game than TIE Fighter on the PC. X-Wing Alliance was good, but it wasn't as good as TIE Fighter.

What a shame that the Star Wars licence (up until this point) has only been used to produce console game rubbish (although Rogue Squadron on the GC was quite entertaining).

The Battlefront game is a reboot of that series. Of course it will include new footage and battles before The Force Awakens.

Yeah, I miss the old TIE fighter and X-wing games. Those were the golden years of Star Wars gaming.

Looks like Han and Chewie were cutting a bit close there.

Loved when the marriage proposal of the stormtrooper guy and his girlfriend was going down and some dude in the crowd yelled "DON'T DO IT!!"

There always has to be that one person to go against the grain of a joyful moment.

They don't own it, hence the "Home" line.

Thank you! I noticed that as well. I kept reading and reading to see if a negative post would pop up. None!

I just watched the SW-TFA Panel video from yesterday and the thing that most impressed me was when they brought on stage...

Oh, yes there are. Some people are fiercely protective of Mr. Lucas and they are annoyed by certain comments, which leads them to deride the new material they're seeing. Kinda like sports fans who loved a coach, the coach quit, new people take over, and then they see all the new recruits causing excitement and it seems disrespectful to the old coach's legacy.

And then there are those who still can't accept that Disney is the new parent company for LucasFilm. And then those who have a passionate dislike for J.J. Abrams.

So sure...there are negative comments out there on discussion boards.

And not to throw a damp towel on the good times, but just as a cautionary tale, this excitement reminds me quite a bit of 1999 and the first teaser for The Phantom Menace. People went gaga. Siskel and Ebert even took time out to praise it and discuss it on their show. No movie is universally beloved, so just prepare yourself for the possibility you may not like the movie.

If you ever want to laugh, go back to page 1 of this very thread. It only takes until the fourth post(upon learning of the Earth shattering news that Disney bought the brand) for someone to say the theatrical cuts of the original trilogy would probably be coming out in the near future. Hahahaha. I honestly hope they never come out, it's hilarious to see people squirm and whine for it all the time.
