I just checked and they still say it's a £10 minimum.

Where does it say otherwise?

Was showing as £20 up to about 15mins ago (although broken at checkout), now it seems to be back to £10.
I imagine it will be back up to £20 later today.

Yeah it said twenty for me earlier when I went to preorder something but when I put the preorder through I could use super saver even though the item was cheaper than twenty quid.

Ah, well. Fewer orders with more items bundled together then.

They really have a monopoly on the web these days, not much competition at all now.

And people moan about the high street. Online shopping isn't far behind.

It would be a shame if it happened. While the natural response would be to use them less, they've wiped out so much of the competition and you can't really take a moral stance by going off to Zavvi...

If they want to save money, they should stop sending certain items in such ridiculously oversized packaging.

Amazon did this a few months ago. The limit went up to £14 or £15 for a couple of days, then went back to £10 again.

I think either it was a glitch (when you clicked details it only mentioned a £10 minimum spend) or someone's jumped the gun and it's going to be implemented shortly.

It was sent out in an affiliate e-mail that it would be happening yesterday at 6pm (according to other folks)... I never received this e-mail myself.

When I've ordered 2 blu's at the same time from Amazon previously, they were sent in a wrap around cardboard mailer (the films stacked on top of each other). This was a perfect solution, they never arrived damaged and they could easily fit through the letterbox.

Now they send me 2 films in a giant card envelope (the films placed side by side). This type of packaging is to big to fit through the door, so if I'm out I have to get in the car and drive to the sorting office to pick it up, it's beyond frustrating.

This is the difference between lower large letter rates, and higher small acket rates I imagine.

I had 8 BDs sent in the wraparound mailer the other day, I don't mind them but occasionally, you'll get a damaged slip cover inside, or the side pops open.

I'm not sure, I've always paid for first class delivery from Amazon. I'm kind of impatient when it comes to getting my stuff.

i use flubit for amazon purchases because of the £10+ minimum - https://www.flubit.com - as they take amazon item links and generate a slightly better offer by putting it out to tender with a network of suppliers and they don't charge postage on top or have a minimum.

many of these suppliers appear in amazon's marketplace - and i'm guessing flubit take a smaller cut than amazon does - and one of the suppliers is amazon itself / or a cover business for amazon, as items sometimes deliver at odd times and are in amazon's packaging. usually save 5% on a CD, nearly 10% on a DVD or BD.

warning though - it's quite slow to generate offers, slower shipping (slightly, quite often) and isn't worth the little saving if you are ordering something that might require a return because it was vulnerable to damage in the post (i.e. a paperback book), but it's been fine with CDs and BDs so far for me. returns process is awkward. pretty much every aspect of the process requires some kind of management i'd rather not be doing, emails i don't need to receive, but if you know what you want and need to save or avoid additional charges, it can work out.

Couldn't be more correct. How anyone on here buying so much can't be on Prime is amazing.

Just noticed the banner on Amazon now. Thankfully due to this thread I pre-ordered a large amount of things yesterday.
