The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014) - Blu-ray Forum

Will the German Blu-ray steelbook release of The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014), which at the moment has a release date of Thursday 3rd September, have English audio? Thought there was an existing thread for this German Blu-ray release (linked from the Blu-ray.com listing page for the German Blu-ray steelbook release) but there was no forum thread.

I would be very interested in an answer also. As usual the UK is left wanting. Can't even get the original film on region b.

Have checked the Amazon Germany listing page for the German Blu-ray steelbook release, and it looks like the original film (the title is instead Phantom Killer) is being included in the Blu-ray steelbook, on a Blu-ray and DVD disc (same with the new film). There are some extras with the original film. Not sure about the new film.

There's nothing stated at the moment on the Blu-ray.com listing page about what audio options there will be, or on the Amazon Germany listing page. Sometimes with German Blu-ray releases there isn't English audio and English subtitles (thinking of the TV series/mini-series Mammon for example, but that's a Norwegian TV series/mini-series), but usually (from the German Blu-ray titles I've read about) there is English audio and English subtitles.

I would be surprised if it didn't have an english track. Watched this for the first time last week and as a fan of the original, thought the 2014 was better. Great cast. Will definitely pick up this German blu.

Exactly. Tiberius have always included English audio on their releases. I own a couple thousands of German DVDs and only ONE of them didn't include an English audio track (Texas Payback, 1995).

I can only remember select moments of the original as I saw it a long, long time ago. Pleased it is included in this steelbook.

The remake is superb, best horror of last year IMO. I'll definitely be looking into getting this Steelbook.

It may depend on the German Blu-ray transfer, but if the German Blu-ray transfer of the original film is as good as or better than Shout's Blu-ray transfer of the original film, and the extras are identical to Shout's Blu-ray release, then it's still worth keeping it because of The Evictors being on the DVD disc.

Thank you, appreciated. As another member mentioned, the steelbook should be the same as the standalone disc in terms of soundtrack options.

Just received the 2D/3D edition. As expected fully English friendly, optional subs and the 3D is quite decent. Will give it a proper viewing tonight.

Where did you get this 3D version from? I had not heard anywhere about a 3D conversion. Who did the conversion? This reeks of crappy auto convert. I just googled The Town That Dreaded Sundown 3D and nothing came up.
