Chance that the release of this game will be a total disaster like Unity? Probably bordering on NoneWhatSoEver! I mean, seriously, no way can Ubisoft screw up the release of this title! And the setting of Victorian england is a great one to boot. Looking forward to this. Hopefully this time around the PS4 is lead platform!

Default New Assassin's Creed Teaser Image

Displayed in the image is a set of brass knuckles, Inscribed on the melee weapon is the phrase "Strength Through Loyalty."

There is also a message that reads "God Save The Queen," which lines up with the game's rumored British setting.

"We Forge The Chains We Wear In Life." This quote is from English author Charles Dickens' "The Cricket on the Hearth," which was originally published in the 1840s.

a reference to "Rooks," which may be related to the bird of the same name commonly found in northern Europe. You can also see an image of a bird.

Different development team for this game. I know Unity had trouble but once they patched it it played very smoothly for me (actually didn't play it while it was a bugged mess). Some games don't even get patches to fix problems.

The general public don't look at games like that, all they care about is if the next game is going to be good and was the previous one up to scratch? AC: Unity has tarnished the Assassins Creed name in the worst possible way; people are going to be staying away in droves approaching launch day unless Ubisoft get early release copies out that vanquish any and all concerns that the game is even remotely similar to the bug-ridden disaster that Unity was. Ubisoft must turn this around. "Not only does the game play in super slick fashion, it's also got a compelling narrative, folks!"

I don't think the general public is that smart. Unity was a very good seller for Ubisoft well after launch when all the known problems were out in the open. Bad reviews and bugs did not stop the public from eating it up.

Default Assassin's Creed Syndicate. (Not Victory.)

The new Assassin's Creed game set to be revealed next week is entitled Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and stars an assassin named Jacob Frye, according to promotional material leaked to Polygon.

The information obtained by Polygon reinforces this, as it states Syndicate will "transport millions of gamers to an astonishing recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution where they will find themselves immersed in a game world they'll have to see to believe."

This setting moves the AC franchise the closest it has been to modern times since the very first game. I prefer the original title of 'Victory' rather than Syndicate, but whatever. Hopefully the recreation of victorian London is stunning, At least that could be said of Paris in Unity.

If they don't learn to cut NPC's running around madly then I expect a few patches a long the release date window.

Defintely interesting to have a setting in the early 19th Century. I had fun with Unity for awhile but ultimately these games are too big & cram too much stuff to collect which I am a sucker for so I will probably try the game & doubtfully finish it.

People said the exact same thing about AC3. I can almost bet everyone who says they wont buy it, will buy it anyways!

Yeah, AC3 was pretty god awful but than they came out with BF the best AC game to date IMO and one of the best games of 2014 period. This franchise can be very up and down at times.

AC3 was pretty awful. It also started soooooooooo slow. I almost gave up in the first couple hours because of how slow/plodding it was. I didn't need my hand held. It got better, but never got to being a great game.

Despite some people's bad taste from Unity, I'm still looking forward to this. AC always has a soft spot in my heart.

However good the PS4 version is (and it seems the Sony machine is now the lead console platform) the PC version will look better, so i'm looking forward to giving my R9 380 a serious workout. We should be quietly thankfull that the biblical cockup that was Unity simply isn't going to happen again. No way would Ubi allow the same thing to happen.

Gamma, Ubisoft may have released AC games with the occasional framerate problem, but nowhere near as bad as Unity! The game was released in what was effectively a Beta state! Compare that to how smooth and polished that Black Flag was and the games were worlds apart.

I can understand that Unity was rocking an all-new game engine, but even so, It took Ubisoft months to iron out more than 300 bugs and glitches that the game and it still wasn't 100%!

Game came out in November and by Christmas was running pretty damn smoothly. Didn't play the game until Christmas and hardly noticed any glitches by than.

I won't disagree the game came out pretty bad but Ubi fixed it pretty much right away compared to how long other companies take.

This game is going to sell fine regardless of Unity. It's AC. Like I said earlier Unity was still flying off shelves after all the problems and glitches were public knowledge and that didn't stop people.

Then the general public must be fairly relaxed with playing occasionally buggy video games. Personally the last thing i want is the game engine crapping out and ruining my experience when i'm right in the middle of a sequence or whatever.
