If we draw and Hull draw, they would need to beat Man U on the last day of the season and hope we don't pick up a single point against Arsenal (our game in hand) or chelsea. Both games are likely to end in defeat though lol.
If we draw and Hull lose, they could still overtake us by beating Man U on last day as we would go down on goal difference IF we don't pick up another point.
If we beat Leicester and hull beat Tottenham they would need us to lose both remaining games and beat Man U.
If we win and Hull fail to beat Tottenham we are SAFE!
I think Newcastle will beat QPR or Westham so I haven't included them in the scenario.

Question to Steed , firstly congrats again on yesterday! I think that was a BIG thing. Now, glancing at the standings, and please correct me if I'm wrong (but God forbid, here rather than on the 4K thread where some have taken offense and made an ISSUE out of our passion) -

Question: Doesn't Hull need 4 pts. in the next two matches to effectively knock you down to the relegation zone?

Keep up the good work on the thread Tob
Yeah, I will second that. Tob is always the gent even when my passion for footy gets the better of me! Met some good folk in this thread, as well as yourself I include my fellow relegation battler Pizzamorg in that as well as that mid table Eagles fan! (Lucky fan, no worries)

What do you guys think of the comments made today by Q.P.R caretaker manager chris ramsey and joey barton that some players did not try for Q.P.R this season.

I guess they see these guys training every day but it seems like a big accusation. Joey Barton is a muppet in my opinion. I don't take him too seriously.

That club is a mess from top to bottom and this is what happens if you give players like these big contracts and you get nothing back in return to show for it.

True. I think many players just want the London 'thing'.

I wanna dig up my post really early in the season in here when I predicted QPR were getting relegated and was quickly told no way. [emoji14]

So you’re not completely safe but, and no disrespect to any Hull City supporters who may be reading this thread, but I can’t see Hull winning against Tottenham or ManU with the way they are playing. Agree?

I believe it was an extreme over reaction. Like I said somewhere in a follow-up post, many other threads are filled full of bickering and inaccuracies (which people take as gospel fact), which I believe is far more of a significant problem than that of occasionally straying Premier-League-off-topic; however….

bickering and posters routinely speaking beyond their expertise is not just accepted, but sadly….tacitly condoned on many (not just Blu-ray.com) consumer forums, if only because it’s so widespread that to correct it, it would be like trying to herd cats (not Sunderland Black Cats, mind you, but real cats). We football folk were a quick and easy target to b*tch at. Also, there’s probably an element of jealousy involved.

Don’t let it bother you. There were many a football/soccer post that served as a lead-in or tie-in for me to post something cutting edge about regarding UHD/4K (on topic) and unbiased regular readers know that.

Well, to a point I would agree. However, it's silly season now (last five games of season) teams are taking risks and getting shock results. Just look at Hull beating Liverpool! I also worry that Spurs are already on the beach and their 3-0 defeat to Stoke backs up my concerns. So, unlike a lot of Sunderland folk, I still think there is a huge risk of relegation if we don't beat Leicester.

Yeah, I didn't see that one happening. Mind you, I didn't see Harry jumping ship the day after transfer deadline day either.
They have been ran poorly considering the investments made and I will hold my hand up and admit I was wrong with that one.

I guess things would be boring if we didn't stick our necks out now and again though?

Now for my next trick! Sunderland are going down! (see what I did there?)

Yeah, that makes sense. Forum politics etc..

I guess some who complained don't even contribute to the thread and haven't bothered reading the various posts that would have given them the info they desire. Just my opinion though. Anyway, it is what it is. Lke you said, it's not worth letting it bother me. I have enough to worry about with Saturday approaching!

Leicester deserve to stay up in my opinion but two months ago I would have said there was no chance in hell, although I'm not really surprised by QPR or Burnley, it's basically been sealed for the last few months. It's been a really "fun" (see: excruciating) relegation battle this season.

I think it must be really boring supporting those middle of the road clubs like Palace and Everton who never have neither the rush and adrenaline of a battle at the bottom nor the hopes and dreams of genuinely achievable silverware in their season.
