The Blue Max will be one of the four to get the freebie. Thinking might as well get U Turn and stop putting it off. Definitely going to pick Mississippi Burning but the last pick I'm not sure. I've been wanting to get Judgment at Nuremberg and Breaking Away, but The Bounty is interesting as a blind buy. Any suggestions?
Any idea on who is signing To Sir With Love? With Sidney signing, it would be a no brainer...with Lulu signing not so much so...lol

As far as your choices, I can say Judgment At Nuremberg and Breaking Away are both good prints...

That's a tough call, all three are excellent. I guess it depends what you're in the mood for: The Bounty for sheer spectacle, a feel good 70s, or courtroom drama that will keep you completely riveted for 3 hours

I would say go with either Judgment at Nuremberg or Breaking Away as those are the ones you've been wanting to get. There's always next month's promo when you can pick up whichever one you don't get, along with The Bounty. I don't think any of these are close to selling out.

I was waiting for the promotion. It doesn't seem to be that cool. I'll think about it.

I have zero interest in To Sir With Love, even if free. So no reason to hold out on my order.

Really? If you're planning on buying the required number of titles, you could always get it anyway and flip it, make some money to cover your costs.

Although not as good as Guess who's coming to Dinner or Lilies of the Field, this is still a fine film and Sidney is great as usual. I love all types of movies. The Poitier films are a great piece of cinema history of America. Not my favorite genre but indeed a classic. I hope TT has Lilies of the Field in mind for future release. Poitier won the Oscar for best actor.

Speaking of selling out. What are the opinions of the next blu's other than the ones listed on page one of this thread, that are getting close to selling out? I've done a bit of research on TT titles since I only discovered the label two months ago. Some titles sold out very quickly and those were expected. Some others took about a year to 18 months and these are the type I'm interested in. Of the 2014 titles I see several that are possibilities.

From 2014 Bunny Lake, The Mechanic and Man Hunt will likely be gone before the end of the year

Have Man Hunt. I used to have Mechanic on dvd but didn't like it all that much. I'm not much of a Bronson fan. Bunny lake intrigues me because I never heard of it before TT. Blind buys are nervous for me because there's so many titles that I want to upgrade from dvd.

What about The Other from 2013? I used to have the vhs back in the day and I really liked that movie. I would think nit would be close to selling out after two + years.

Not necessarily. Look at the spectacular Rapture, Bite The Bullet.. they're still here from the beginning... and I know its a musical but even Pal Joey

Well, I guess I'm thinking more on the lines of the genre. The Other is a horror movie of sorts and those usually sell. It's not a slasher but there is evil and evil usually sells. I'm not surprised by Pal Joey. I doubt that will ever sell 3,000 copies. Bite the Bullet I have not seen so I don't really know. Rapture is the wrong Rapture as far as I'm concerned. The film starring David Duchovny and Mimi Rogers would sell out fast. That is one wicked flick.

I'm also surprised The Blue Lagoon isn't close to selling out. There are a lot of Brooke Shields fans out there. Well, there used to be. Pretty Baby is the film that would sell out under 12 months. But that's a Paramount title.

Got that one also. Martin Sheen at his best. Can't wait for The Little Girl Who Lives Down The lane on blu. I have the MGM DVD. Sheen is as sleazy as a snake. Sweet Hostage is another Sheen movie I would like to see on blu.

Well, if CHATO'S LAND does wind up getting a blu-ray release (be it TT, Kino or Olive) let's hope it is the R-rated European cut, as opposed to the PG-rated US version.

I don't mean to put words into your mouth....er, make that typing fingers....but this reads like you are being unnecessarily dismissive of some great films that you appear to have never seen. Bite the Bullet and Pal Joey are very good, among the best TT has to offer. Rapture is a giant that stands tall above just about every film TT has released. I bought it blind over three years ago and was blown away. If you like Bergman or Hitchcock, you will like Rapture. It slowly sets up an emotionally isolated character for a potential psychological explosion, teetering on the edge of a horror film without actually being one. Director John Guillermin (The Blue Max) dances on the precipice with our expectations as he takes us on one of the most beautifully written character driven journeys I have ever experienced in a film. Rapture builds taut suspense because the viewer is never quite sure what is going to happen as the story unfolds.

Seriously, it is a great drama, filled with excellent performances and stunning black and white cinematography that emphasizes the dark neo-gothic atmosphere of the story. Patricia Gozzi gives what surely must be one of the finest performances by a young star in the history of cinema in her portrayal of the troubled and fragile teenage girl Agnes. Like a living version of the childhood doll she still cherishes, Agnes is easily torn and shattered if handled carelessly. The plot takes off when an injured escaped convict makes his way to her father's house and dons the ragged clothes of a scarecrow Agnes had made earlier and placed in the garden. Agnes becomes infatuated with the handsome man who shows up out of the night, as if her scarecrow has come to life. She vows to nurse him back to health and look after him. From there, events spin toward the film's powerfully moving climax. Rapture is simply magnificent; there is so much depth to the story captured with skillful sensitivity by Guillermin, as we realize in the end that a lonely teenage girl is not the only broken doll in the playpen.

Well whatever Bronson titles TT has up their sleeves I'm in 100%. I'm a devout Bronson fan and must own anything of Charlies released in HD. I'm sure they will look and sound great.
