Best Buy Mad Max Metalbox (Best Buy Exclusive)

Just got these in for a promo we're having starting this Sunday. Apparently, the metalpak has a street date of 5/5/2015, yet my store hasn't received them until now. I'm kind of contemplating on selling my Mad Max Shout! Factory copy (as much as I dig the slipcover).

We'll also have Django, Wolverine, X-men, Terminator, and Commando steelbooks back in stock. I think the sale price for all of them is $11.99 each.

EDIT: A fellow poster corrected my error. It is a metalpak, not a steelbook. The other titles are being advertised as steelbooks, however.

Is it a steel, or Metalpak?

Just your regular ol' steelbook. I took a shot of the back in order to show the extras/bonus features, but it didn't save on my phone for some reason.

You would think it would say SteelBook otherwise

I see, thanks. Fox also released a few metalpaks as BB exclusives with the same release date, so I was wondering.

Yeah, I work tomorrow at 6, and I'll take pics of the spine and the back. Come to think of it, this Sunday we're having some great blu-ray promotions.

Regular price I believe is $14.99, but the sale price on Sunday will be $11.99.

Also, if you guys can't wait till Sunday, you could still technically buy it. The release date has passed, so an employee could sell it to you. The thing is, most employees on the sales floor won't be able to find it, because it won't be easily accessible. It'll be in a box marked "Promo 5-12", or something of that nature. If you're so inclined, you could try to find a warehouse employee, specifically, someone who works in media. If he/she is cool, then they'll go out of their way to find it, and hand it off to a sales associate to sell it to you.

Just a little Best Buy secret

The other steelbooks have been released before, and you've probably seen all of them. The Django one has the same artwork as the the regular blu ray case, and that's the case with the rest of the Steelbooks, except for the Terminator one. That one has a metallic Terminator surrounded by fire, and it looks pretty bad ass.

Yeah man, it really came outta nowhere. I opened the shipment this morning, and I was like "Wtf, Mad Max steelbook? Sweet". The Shout factory cover/slip is so beautiful though.

Either way, it seems Fury Road has gotten fantastic reviews (currently sitting at an incredible 90/100 on metacritic), so the Mad Max franchise will grow in turn. I'll go ahead and double dip, because it'll most likely sell out quickly from all the hype.

Get the Shout version, the special features are worth it. If you don't watch special features, then this is the one for you I guess. You are a slip guy though aren't you neoz?

When it says 'collectible metal packaging' its a metalpak. Steelbooks say steelbook.

Oh, sorry about that then. I didn't know there was a difference. It looked and felt like a regular steelbook to me.

Oh no biggie! I just caught on after getting around 60 different bb exclusives. I personally don't mind metalpaks at all, I'm definitely getting this. Thanks for posting!!!

Just look at the spine, if you throw up in your mouth a little bit (or a lot), then it's a Metalpak.
