Could you take a picture of the groove on the right-hand side when the packaging is closed? The shape may help us figure it out since that's one of the key differences between Steelbooks/MetalPaks/IronPaks/etc.

The company that made IronPaks is not allowed to sell stuff in the US anymore, though.

I think it might be a Metal Box, which is from the same company that makes MetalPaks. I know -- what a mess.

Thank you! That confirms my previous post, then. It's actually a Metal Box, which is slightly different from a MetalPak. Same company, though.

Wow, these are definitely Viva Metal Box's. The spine, and opening are identical to those.

So what does that mean for MASH and the others listed? Will those still be Metalpaks or will they too also be Metalboxes?

With those spines I'll definitely be picking up a few of these.

The Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-box Edition released in March also has a case like these. They just called it a "Steel Case" in the advertising for it, though.

I compared it to a few normal Viva cases I have and there is a little less plastic showing on the spine of these new ones. The rest of it looks nearly the same.

Whatever the official name ends up being for these, I like them.

I know right?!?! I must know as well! How is this possible? Scanavo put a rather permanent legal end to this type of case.

They have to metal box's too.

I actually prefer metal box's to Steelbooks. They have metal spines rather than just a sticker, and the embossing work done on them, particularly with the Disney ones I own, look better than the embossing on the SB's I own. They also are pretty durable too.
