If they think they can get Will Smith to star in a low-budget, Asian-style Ultraman movie, fighting guys in rubber monster suits, they're dreaming. If they seriously try either, they will get sued big-time. As the article I linked in the other thread (merge please!) states, while international rights to the early shows are in dispute, Chaiyo is expressly forbidden from creating new Ultra shows / movies / characters. They have tried before, and lost a lot of money doing it. Chaiyo likes to drum up publicity by making grandiose claims. At most, we may end up getting the old shows on BD. |
