Death Sentence, is it the Unrated cut or the R rated cut from the Scandinavian countries? It looks to be less expensive from there than Germany.

Anyone own 'Descent' with Rosario Dawson from Germany? Is it the NC17 or R Rated Cut?

The Korean edition is unedited, 50gb, Lossless, and while I don't have the specs in front of me, it seems like it was a rather large movie, space wise it took up quite a bit with 30mbps IIRC, good color, English subs (accurate), nice book, slip, and art with 1st pressing. Region A only.

German does not have English subs,unedited as far as I remember, 25 gb disc, and 16mbps, no book, no slip, lossless audio. Good for the price of under 15$ US.

Both look good, I kept my Korean edition.

I do not own it, but the DE disc features the R rated cut, B-locked BD-25, slipcover, runtime 101min, no EN subs

I have the Norwegian BD. The other Scandinavian releases are identical to my Norwegian one. It is the R rated cut.

I have the UK disc and it's good enough. I bet it's the same as the spanish one.
The HK disc however, doesn't have any bonus materials it seems.

A nice member posted screencaps for both releases on their specific threads.

It seems Chinese Ghost Story Trilogy are the same transfers / upscales as the HK ones. But with DNR applied. Ugly!
The german discs are still the bests and true HD.

As for Swordsman 1 & 2, it seems those discs are true HD but with a lot of DNR applied (especially for the first movie) and with so-so compression.
Still Swordsman 2 seems to look way better than any previous DVD releases.

I guess they should be added to this thread.

the only reason i ask is because i live in america and i don't have a region free blu ray and i want to know what the three release look like so i don't feel like i'm getting one with a horrible transfer. i'm suprise that on the sites the carry the blu ray no one has written a review or a youtube review on it you know just something. do you think you can at least write a review on the site about the transfer of the one you got? answer all please

It's DNR'd alright, the JP and European disc are the one and the same.
