by the way I used to live in Orlando and it has always been notorious for targetting tourists for burglaries....

This is actually kinda common. I have heard about this before, it's so f***ing sad that people are that pathetic. When i bought my tv and ps3(separate times) I cannot tell you how many people i had starting as i was walking to my car...so what i do is try to act tough lol and yell out "can i help you? you nosy ass motherf***ers?!" I know it's rude but it is really annoying, plus I hate when people stare you like that. lol.

I've never been robbed in my life. Why is that??? I don't know. Maybe I'm a big man and robbers don't want to go through the trouble? Do I look like someone who would carry a gun? Thats probably it. I do dress like a gangster though. Anyone who stares at me I just stare them down.

I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but when government fails to protect its citizens (one of its primary responsibilities) the citizens will increasingly call for more draconian measures. Today it seems there is great risk of travelling alone as a consumer to a local mall and no risk to being a thug. Phoenix's own Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been hammered in the papers for being a media ham. However, he formed a volunteer posse here in Phoenix that patrols the malls during the Christmas shopping season. When I head to my car with an armful of packages, I feel more confident seeing the Sheriff's officers on horseback. Westcor and other Mall developers should put a little less in their pockets and more into the security of their patrons.

It's sad that many of the old timers say that Las Vegas was a safer place when the mob ran that town.

I hope your luck doesn't run out, bud. I have a friend who lived in the LA area and was beaten to a pulp and robbed after leaving an ATM.
