That went pretty well, got to 3925 Disney Reward points with my BD credits!

I'm currently waiting for Cars 1&2 3D off EBay so that should put me over 4K.

At that point, I'll be able to get Tron Legacy 3D and John Carter 3D both for free.

Wow, talk about a Happy Ending. Cue the upbeat dance music people!

Do it now. 2800 points with $6.50 shipping is better than 4000 points. 1200 points on the open market are worth much more than $6.50. I just did the exact same thing, Tron and John Carter for 2800 points + S&P. Brave & A Christmas Carol are my next 3D acquisitions from them.

Yeah, I was sad to read about the poor 3D on Nightmare Before Christmas. I watch it every Christmas, and last time I watched it, I noted how the camera angles should look really good in 3D, and became curious about the conversion. Disappointed to hear it's not good.

I was mildly disappointed in Tron Legacy, because the 3D was mostly depth, and it wasn't until the chase scene late in the movie where I really felt like the 3D engaged me viscerally. However, I also got that for free using the Disney points I'd been accruing. I just recently got enough points for the original Tron, too. It'll take me a while to build them back up again, but I figure I'll get John Carter that way, too. (I had originally gotten Tangled 3D for free... it's all I've ever used those points for -- free movies!)

So, dumb question: When you use the Disney points, they basically send a retail package blu-ray to you, right? It's not like the Oz thing, where it's in an envelope, or sleeve ...

As others have said, if you happen to buy other Disney products, use those codes to save up points. If you have that piece of paper with the code, then it's always eligible (unless you bought used and someone entered it already). If you go to the movies to see any Marvel or Disney films, save your stubs since you also get points for proving you went to see them.

I've gotten John Carter 3D, Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, A Christmas Carol 3D, Cars 2 3D, Finding Nemo 3D, Tangled 3D and Brave 3D all for pretty much free. I always go for paying the S&H since it works out better points/cost-wise. Only need to buy a couple more titles before I can get Tron 3D. Disney 3D titles usually hover around the $30 mark, if I bought them at that price, I would have paid $180 instead of the $18.50 I paid in shipping costs.

Not all the titles I listed above are still available, some more popular titles come and go quickly but John Carter and Tron will likely be there awhile.

I entered all my codes, took a few surveys, have 1350 points...only need 50 more points, and Tron is the only available title I really care for.

First, I just want to thank DB5 for posting that link to the Nightmare 3D reward.

The Disney site works well, but it is somewhat confusing in terms of what titles you can redeem or claim as a reward.

After looking into the details, I took everyone's advice about using the S&P option ($2-3 dollars per title is nothing).

I ordered John Connor 3D and Nightmare 3D for 2800 points+S&P (I have no BDs for these titles so the 3D part is a bonus for me).

I'm only 25 points short of Tron 3D, which I should have by the end of the week based on a Disney title I have on order.

While logged into your DMR account do the surveys, I did all 3 that were available a couple of years ago for a total of 225 points.

Jeez no wonder Disney have stopped releasing 3d Blu's - seems all they do is give them away...is that how they can say 3d sales are poor

Got some of my free Disney 3D BDs today, wow that was fast!

Nightmare Before Christmas is near mint with original 3D slip, very nice.

John Carter was somewhat dog-eared and even had a price tag (?) on it.

Opened both immediately to redeem points, of course.

The 3D in John Carter is mostly subtle, but the movie itself seems very solid. Very glad to have this.

I've also ordered Tron Legacy as 3rd freebee and my next free title will be Brave 3D.

Entered about six DVD or Blu-ray titles DMR codes and I got between 150 and 250 points each for a total of 1100 points. You must have a lot more titles than me!

Watched my free copy of 'Nightmare Before Christmas', for me the 3D was pretty good.

I have a newer TV and I guess it's digging some decent 3D out of weaker conversions?

Got my free copy of Tron Legacy 3D today, slip is very good shape. Can't wait to watch this one.

Love how you can get points for free movies, that alone has given me 600 points towards Brave 3D.

Dang you get your movies quick! I have been lazy and haven't entered my codes yet so have not ordered A Christmas Carol and Brave.

Eagerly watched Tron Legacy 3D, a movie that had fell a bit flat for me previously in 2D.

Happy to say the movie played better the second time around and really shined during the tense IMAX sequences.

Funny how a big 3D TV can add to the proceedings! Olivia Wilde in that skin-tight black outfit didn't hurt either...

I hear you, the 3D is different in Legacy. It's so subtle, almost there more for the ambiance.

----

Interesting, I just got an email from Disney about a new trivia game you can play online to earn DMR points (!).

Unfortunately, you have to use Facebook which is something I don't do...
