Hmm.. a person who ordered The Outing has claimed its the 87 minute version, not the Lamp version. I havent seen the longer version, but I recall scream saying that was the version used for this release

Yeah, Scream said it was the Lamp version on the KillerPOV podcast.

My guesses
1-Village of the Damned
2-The Car
3-Species 2
4-Species 3
5-Species 4 the Awakening
6-The Thing
7-Bubba Ho Tep
8-Virus
9-The Fly II
10-Jeepers Creepers

Mainstream titles are usually what SF announces at the SDCC, so I feel like thinking big this year and going out on a total limb here- I could be wrong, but who cares

My guesses for the ten SDCC titles. I'm supposing they will be largely Universal, with a smattering of MGM:

Sssssss
The Car
Ghost Story
The Thing
Nightmares
Raising Cain
Village of the Damned
Session 9
The Curse
Curse II: The Bite

Although we're fairly sure of some other MGM titles they have - the Vincent Price films, The Dunwich Horror, Murders in the Rue Morgue - I have a feeling these will be saved for some other time. I also think they'll announce one more title before then - the title which will accompany Destroyer in the double feature. I'm guessing it will be an MGM slasher of some sort.

I've got my beloved EFNY. So anything, at this point, is just icing on the cake!

Just keep the Collectors Editions coming!

I wouldn't mind seeing Session 9 out on Blu-ray.

And cut to ten people who'll explain, in a very condescending tone, why you're not allowed to be happy with it.

I'll be honest - I consider Session 9 to be hugely overrated, but I was trying to put together a decent span of titles, with something from the 70s to the 00s, since Scream mentioned there would be something for everyone. Session 9 might just be the most desired of Universal's post-00 horror output still awaiting a Blu-ray release.

I could've sworn I heard that Vampire Lovers was a poor seller for Scream.

They said it themselves during the recent podcast.

That's crazy as I'm fairly certain that they themselves said it sold poorly last year during an interview. Perhaps the lowered price and more recent Hammer announcements/releases helped to bring about a new surge in sales.

It certainly makes me question a lot of things they say about what is and isn't selling well going forward.

Things happen to change sales data. In an earlier podcast, they said Ninja III sold poorly. In the most recent podcast, they said it sold well.

Remember when it was briefly on sale at Best Buy (which Amazon also matched) for $8 or so? I'm sure they moved quite copies because of that.

Different circumstances cause sales to rise or fall. On the most recent podcast, they made it clear that many of the recent releases of the more niche catalog titles (specially naming titles like New Year's Evil and Scarecrows) aren't selling much.

The rest of the Phantasm films, especially a set would be amazing.
The Unnamable and Rawhead Rex would be amazing.
Village of the Damned I expect.

Thank you. I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one. Frankly, I hated Session 9.

Frankly, this is exactly why I ignore postings about sales numbers.

We get this stuff in the Universal Monsters thread. People are quick to say that they "heard from a rep" that something was a good seller or a poor seller and then they try to draw conclusions about other titles.

The guesswork can be fun and entertaining but it's still guesswork.
