In the 2029 of Genisys, Kyle Reese brings with him the Polaroid pic, while in the Universe 1 that went destroyed before Kyle would travel back in time.

We're dealing with a multi-universe where each universe has time travel and time travel laws. At this point, we can "fictionalize" the fact characters have different faces. Why not?
