G. del Toro is still hoping for a Criterion release of Pan's Labyrinth. It's all still very vague at the moment.

It's too bad that the creator couldn't be bothered to match the black levels on the artwork, though. On my screen I see kind of a grey-ish cover with black boxes where the image and text are placed.

I made that back in 2013 when I was bored. I lack photo editing skills so my Frankenstein creations are notoriously bad ..I might try a new one though, as I'm sure I've improved since lol

Also Red Beard , Stray Dog, Onibaba, Empire of Passion and Vampyr would be nice.

Mine had two inserts. One for each movie.

Wow, Criterion has so many great Haloween titles. Going with Onibaba, The Brood, Carnival of Souls, Kwaidan, Vampyr, and maybe Empire of Passion.

Fascinating.

For some reason Boogie Nights and Mary Poppins seem out place on that list.

...never would've pegged Kubrick for a Dirk Diggler fan.

Seeing that Kubrick list makes me think -- how great would a Criterion set of Heimat be? Seems like a natural fit.

The one that stands out for me is White Man Can't Jump. Kubrick a fan of that film? I can't picture it.

I'd rather see Heimat 2 get a CC release. But both are great.

Yeah bit sloppy but oh well - I don't think it works, looks a bit cheap, I would expect a beautiful illustration bursting with life! An Arrow style design would look great!

My guesses for October based on rumors and newsletter clues:

Le Samouraļ
The Brood
Mulholland Drive
The Apu Trilogy
A Brighter Summer Day

I'm really hoping the trenchcoat clue is for Le Samouraļ. I'd also love to see upgrades for either Elevator to the Gallows or Shoot the Piano Player.
