The actor collections are all up on Foxconnect, and are all much cheaper than Amazon. The Lazenby one is $10.99, the rest are $18.99. They also have all the new individual releases with the digital copies for $10.99 each. . FC also has a 30% of signup coupon (not sure if it's still working).

They also have the cheaper Bond collection, and it's just $129.99. I guess the difference realyl is the lack of the digital copies, and the book? Kind of crazy that they think those things justify $100 more

Why would you ever doubt the Hermione?

What's hilarious is that the Lazenby and Dalton Collections don't have UV copies, but the singles do.

Do two movies even count as a collection? I think I'd prefer Timothy Dalton: The Compendium.

Lazenby has a collection of one.

As MifuneFan just suggested to me in a PM, they should've just combined Lazenby and Dalton's movies.

Probably should have. Really don't see a whole of people going "No, I don't want Connery, Moore, Brosnan, or Craig - just give me Lazenby/Dalton, dammit!"

Also i think they should have combined the Connery vol1 & 2, and same for Moore.
Why release 2 volumes?

As it stands, there are two separate releases of OHMSS.

So, no money lost!
And they wouldn't have to make 2 digipacks or whatever they are too.

The previous Connery and Moore collections were even worse. They only had 3 movies each, so if you bought those, you were still missing one movie per actor.

I watched 2 of my favorite Bond films recently...

Goldfinger and A View to a Kill...

Both are awesome in their own ways...Goldfinger, I feel, is Connery's best Bond film...

Do we know Hermione's favorite Bond actor and film?

Seems like something we should.

Those new covers do look quite retro but a bit dull.

I find when buying something like Bond, Star Wars, Star Trek etc, they are all released so often, all you need to do is buy a version that you like the packaging of, that way it is likely to stay on your shelf longer and you'll be more willing to buy the new films individually to add on to an existing good looking box than worrying about s new set each time it comes out.

I don't have digital copies of the films, but likely that all future releases will have them and you always get someone on ebay selling a uv code so you may be able to get the digital versions that way.

You may as well get an Android or Apple iTunes download for the lot. Every time the Blu ray's and DVD's get repackaged, the images that appear in your account change with them.

I love studying graphic design and packaging, have ever since I was a little kid, but I pretty much gave up on the Bonds a long time ago. Once they stopped using the poster art I lost interest and have virtually nothing but disdain for what followed. I settled on the generic standalone Blus that came out before SKYFALL just to get the movies and now I'm all set.

I do like the new Steelbooks a lot and would double dip if the entire collection came out that way, but I'm not going to hodge podge it because of some arbitrary marketing decision that will be all but forgotten when the next re-release happens.
