Is it possible to save movie files to ps3?

Hi,

Ive tried researching on the site to see if this was possible and i came up dry. Anyhow, i was wondering if it was possible to save movies that are in avi format to my ps3? So i can watch it with the ps3? And will the upscale function work with this method?

Get a USB flash drive, or any other solid state media, and copy the video onto it. Insert the drive into the PS3's USB port, go to the X-Cross media bar, go to video, select the drive, hit trangle and you will see the videos. Then hit triangle again and selct "Copy Multiple" and check the ones you want.

Yes you can, but you have to convert the movies into MP4, MPEG2, etc. before PS3 can play them. Down load the PS3 Video 9 converter to convert the movies. Its a slow process because of the size of movie files. I've converted a couple of movies and music videos and play them with ease on the PS3.
