Just an interesting note: I worked loss prevention in the store where MANNEQUIN was shot. The store hasn't changed too much over the years and is instantly recognizable if you're familiar with the film. I'll probably snag it on blu.

Boscov's in Camp Hill? or Wanamaker's? I can't believe the Boscov's is still open since the entire mall around it has been transformed.

Boscov's is still in business and going strong! It sits as the anchor to the mall which has changed dramatically in the past 25+ years. But still looks pretty much the same. As LP not only did I detain shoplifters but opened/closed the store as we were responsible for overall security. The store after hours can be very creepy especially in the basement storage.

Woah, excellent news! Mannequin (original) is definitely a childhood favorite. I was so in love with Kim Cattral when I would watch this as a kid, she's gorgeous in this. Also a very entertaining movie.

I honestly cannot articulate properly how f'n happy I am about Mannequin 1 & 2. I seriously have an unhealthy love for both movies.

Believe it or not, they were my holy grail of catalog titles. My 80's childhood favorites are almost all on blu-ray!!!

Tbf, I'll probably pick up Antitrust as well. It's just kind of getting lost in the Mannequin noise at the moment!

My Blu-ray of Mannequin arrived in the mail today and, God bless 'em, it's actually the correct Blu-ray with the correct movie. I played the first scene just to be sure.

I watched my Olive Films Blu-ray of Mannequin last night.

What a great disc!

I last saw Mannequin shortly after it was released in 1987, and I remember enjoying the lighthearted comedic vibe of the movie. I think that I got an even bigger kick out of last night's viewing, however, because the awesomeness of everything 1980s in that movie really stands out in my rose-tinted rear view mirror of nostalgia.

Kim Cattrall was ridiculously hot circa 1987, and she's the highlight here, but I love all of the other roles as well. James Spader is a trip as the villain, and it's pretty funny, in retrospect, that the voice of Ultron in the latest Avengers movie was a villain in a movie about a mannequin. Andrew McCarthy was in a bunch of teen movies back then, namely Pretty in Pink and Less Than Zero, and, although I don't see much of his work nowadays, he's still acting. Finally, I cannot say enough good things about Meshach Taylor's Hollywood, because that character put a smile on my face every time he was onscreen.

...and, yes, I watched through the closing credits so that I could listen to the Starship song.

The picture quality and audio quality of the Blu-ray are both spot-on. Mannequin is a colorful movie, through and through, and the high definition transfer brings out the best of that aspect of the film. The great late 1980s soundtrack shines through with flying colors in its own right.

I had really forgotten how much I enjoyed this film, and I'm glad to own it. This will be one of the frequent rewatch discs in my collection.
