Watching this right now. It popped up on my Amazon Prime the other week so I decided to watch tonight.

It was ok. Movie looked like it belonged on t.v. because it didn't have a film look at all. It looked very flat too.

I was expecting Seth to be on his Man on Fire type revenge but it didn't quite live up to that.

Looking at the title I got Death Wish confused with Death Note, and thought Plummer was going to start killing people with a magic notebook.

The only one worth seeing is The Sweet Hereafter, which is one of the best movies ever made. Exotica is good but nothing special. The rest are complete shit.

Felicia's Journey is his best, it's superb. The Sweet Hereafter, The Adjuster & Exotica are also great films, but once you get into his post-nineties work, it's really not worth continuing.

I was disappointed by this one. I've really liked a bunch of Egoyan's films, but not this one. It started out promising, but for such a serious topic, it got goofy. This Must Be the Place was a much better film with essentially the same premise made close to the same time.

Funny- just watched this tonight on Amazon. Thought the story was interesting but felt like a TV movie at times. Solid 6/10 for me.

I really liked this film. I didn't think it felt like a TV movie at all, but perhaps that could be because I saw this in theaters about 4 months ago.

I believe it's still in my top 10 of the year at this point. I love everything A24 has to offer.

Just saw this on Sunday after someone recommended it in the thread about twist films. The comments here seems like I'm in the wrong thread. I love this, great acting by Plummer. It's a good drama, you care for the character and that made me not think about what the twist could be. Maybe that's why the twist worked, I never guessed it like it usually happens when I'm expecting one. 4/5 stars.
