Yup. There was a lot of good stuff in Superman Returns but there wasn't two-and-a-half hours worth of good stuff.

90 minutes is more than enough time to tell a cool story. Cloverfield and Chronicle came in under 90 minutes. Moon came in a little over.

They were all fantastic.

Name a short short superhero origin movie thats any good, besides X-Men.
Catwoman, Daredevil, Spirit, Jonah Hex, Elektra, Fantastic Four, Wolverine: Origins?
Name a short superhero sequel thats any good, Punisher 2, Ghost Rider 2, X men 3, Fantastic Four 2,

Run time is a huge indicator of the quality of super hero movies going all the way back to Superman 4----which rest screened at 2 hours plus and was releaded at 87 minutes.

Punisher War Zone is pretty awesome. But yeah, aside from that, you have a point.

I Like Daredevil (DC), Fantastic Four, Wolverine: Origins, Punisher 2, Ghost Rider 2, Fantastic Four: RoTSS.

X-Men, Darkman, Unbreakable, Chronicle, Super, Big Hero 6, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, The Crow.

Plus superhero films over 2 hours that a lot of people seem to consider bad:

Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Hulk, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Superman Returns.
