This is the same blu-ray as the one sold on amazon.com (with no french on cover) It does not show up in the search engine but you can get it by going on amazon.com and searching for aladdin then you replace the .com by .ca and you'll get this:

Disney usually does two versions here in Canada, one with both French and English (that's usually exclusive to Quebec although I've seen a few show up at random stores here in BC) and the other with just English. Based on the Best Buy exclusive, that pattern show remain unchanged on this one.

Looked a few pages back and didn't see anyone post it, but this is on the Best Buy page

I'm really digging it, it looks a lot better than the regular one.

And it looks like Best Buy offers release-date delivery, which is perfect. As much as I like giving Amazon my business, I'm afraid this time I'm gonna have to go with Best Buy for that cover. I'll still get the regular-release ones for friends and family though lol.

Why in the world would you like giving Amazon your business when a company like Best Buy surely needs it a bit more than a giant like Amazon? Not that BB is small but in more need of sales than AMZ is for sure.

Someone posted that cover a week or two back.

Agreed. It looks weird for the most part. Also making no sense. That's the moment where he gets sent to grab the lamp in a life or death situation.

I am probably going to stick with the original release. I wish they were releasing it with the regular blue border to match the earlier releases such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, etc. Enough of this silver non-sense.

The original VHS or the Platinum Edition DVD release? The UK/Europe BD? Or just the regular Diamond Edition BD?

lmao This was my first thought too. The genie looks cool and I'm sure the lenticular aspect of that will look nice but I can't get over how weird Aladdin looks. He looks like he's drunk. Disney's cover isn't perfect but I think it looks nice enough. Better than blushing Aladdin, at least. I'll probably just go with that version.

Aladdin does look a bit derpy lol but I like how cool the Genie looks on it plus there's no obnoxious silver border around it.

I see nothing wrong with Aladdin's face, I think it's a great cover!! And yes, the Genie is supposed to appear and disappear. Very cool and much better than the horrible oval artwork with the silver border!!
