I'm still hoping for better reviews, I'd like to have a little support to go see this in an Atmos theater.
Why do you need support? If you want to go see it, screw the reviews. Go. Maybe you'll be like the early Twitter users and think it's a 99 out of 100 movie.

Any word on that sequel that was planned for a June 2017 release?

Default Sequel could fix issues with the first movie

Even if you don't care much for #FantasticFour, Bryan singer or any other director could make the sequel even better and give us a really gr8 movie! Its worth supporting the movie now just for that!

Supporting a movie that sucks, in a vain attempt to get them to make an improved sequel, is lunacy.

You remind me of a poster from another forum who basically said the same thing. "Who cares if this movie is bad so long as it makes enough money to get a sequel and THEN they can make a good film." (paraphrasing of course)

Umm, how about people try to make a good to great film the first time.

Why would a studio invest in trying to make a better movie if a bunch of thrown-together garbage makes profit?

Studios don't care about the art of film-making. They just want to make money.

I like how delicately you put that!

I ignore some people because we seem to disagree on everything, others because I find them mean and nasty and others because their posts make my head hurt.
That guys post made my head hurt. LOL

Ill end up renting it just to see but like you my expectations are rather low.
Ah, my friends have also seen the bad reviews and audience response and that doom clip (although powers are cool the design just looks off) and the runtime I've decided i'll probably miss this one, my mates want to see Rogue Nation now, which I've seen once but I loved so I'll go see that again. You know its a pity that some franchises just can't go as strong as that one, I mean on its 5th instalment and literally continuing to top previous instalments and now adding new characters and an interesting foil for the IMF in the syndicate? That's impressive, pity F4 couldn't do as well.

Devin Faraci liked it

http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/08/...clobberin-time

I like this particular comment from his review

Quote:
...this version doesn’t simply ape the current status quo of superhero movies. What this film does is something different, something actually sort of in line with the original Challengers of the Unknown. This Fantastic Four is a science fiction movie, and it’s a cracking good one… until the third act when it is dragged kicking and screaming into being a superhero movie and falls apart.

We officially have a new candidate for stupidest post of all time. I should know. I have been nominated quite a few times.

it carry's weight with me, we've been in agreement on most films this year. Boys on the internet seem to loathe him for some reason though. Oh yeah, because he call them out for the typical misogynist BS that permeates certain segments of the internet.

So the 'your eyes glaze over' comic book movie action finale is still intact? Phew. I was worried I was going to go in to one of these and have that not be the case for once. Crisis averted.
