Exactly, good point. Yeah i love Battleship, one of my favourites (not in an ironic kind of way, i genuinely think it's fantastic)

Yes me too. I know it isn't exactly realistic, but when they pulled out the New Jersey I was going "YES! YES! Then the anchor turn and the broadside". The whole intro with Taylor Kitsch in the convenience store was just priceless too. I always laugh out load at that.

No Michael Bay = no sale. He's the real STAR of this franchise. I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere that he's not returning though. Could it be possible the Bay-man does in fact return??

(For the record, I haven't liked a Bay movie since BB2 but clearly this franchise should not be handled by anybody else.)

Just read that at The Hollywood Reporter as well. If both Bay confirmed not directing and Smith not starring then it just not as a Bad Boys sequel for me. This is the only film I want them to be involved I'm not interested in anything else they're doing now.
