I have no intention of seeing this......I thought the 1st 2 were only "ok," this looks a hell of a lot worse to me than either of those.

I'm hoping this bombs so hard that Marvel gets the rights back and gives us a good FF movie finally.

the thought is nice, but you do realize that if Marvel gets it then it's guaranteed to sit on a shelf for at least a decade before turning into anything right? It could be 15 or 20 years before Marvel gets around to using these characters.

Maybe a villain makes an appearance in somebody else's movie at some point.

Marvel is too safe to make a proper FF movie. Deadpool is going to be amazing in spite of them

Marvel should deal with Fox for the X-Men TV show in exchange for the rights to F4. Then just bring back the original cast but recast Johnny. Make the originals cannon and insert them into the MCU nice and easy. I personally would have no problem with that. The first two weren't great but, it's better than recasting or rebooting again.

It was almost a decade before Fox did anything with them again. They could easily be in Phase 4, or whatever the hell, after the Phase 3 plans that run through 2019 play out.

the biggest problem with making the older films canon is that they they have to explain away why this OP superhero team that is based in new york didn't do shit during the invasion.

If they ever put them in the MCU it'll likely be many many years from now, and they will go through whatever disaster Marvel cooks up to give them their powers sometime in the future from now.

So assuming that they will eventually be in the MCU, that means as of this point in time these people are walking around new york, still just normal smart people.

that's the biggest benefit to regaining the properties. Using the Skrull in AoS and Inhumans is probably a solid benefit as well.

They weren't in New York because they were fighting someone in space. Like they do all the time in the comics. Problem solved.

why is it necessary that they exist already? if their movie is 15 years away, it's perfectly reasonable that their origin happens sometimes between now and then.
