If this movie gets MST3K going again, the whole sordid affair will have been worth it.

To all the movie lovers who just enjoy stories and even re-tellings of orginal stories, I saw this last night and really enjoyed it. No it wasn't my favorite Marvel movie - but I didn't hate it. I would argue though that I am not a fan-boy of Fantastic four so they didn't break my favorite characters. If you relate to parts of my perspective you will probably enjoy it. And don't forget - what else is in the theater now? This is the last Marvel movie of the year. I don't think anything about the pace, acting, storyline ruined it. Everyone who is up in arms must have just been expecting something else - but comics are creating new versions of these characters all the time. I don't get the negative hype. For the record I was very upset with Iron Man 3 - I felt like they went away from what everyone loved about the other iron man movies.

Was X-Men Origins Wolverine tampered with too? For example, was the Wade Wilson/Deadpool muck-up due to Gavin Hood's vision or producer interference?

Generally all of Fox's X-Mem films are great so FF4's problmes must be mainly Trank's fault due to behavior or other reasons. The second half of FF4 is not so good but it's not bad if it was created by the producers's clean-up crew (assistant directors).

we hated this because it was an AWFUL movie....not because of the storyline changes. the characters are awkward, the dialog is ATROCIOUS, and the end act is horrible in every way shape or form... the last battle is hysterically bad

Still though, Ant Man does not have the name recognition to casual fans like the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man have.

I think Ant Man has performed rather well considering he's not really an A-list comic book character.

I haven't seen this yet but I'm willing to bet there are at least 10-15 things in a 20 screen theater at a minimum right now that most would recommend over Fantastic Four.

You point is 100% moot
You post done burned me good.

Honestly, though: what I said was just an amused reaction to people seriously (?) floating the idea of this movie's quality inspiring a lawsuit. Though I do hate Iron Man 2 with a passion.

And even if there wasn't (or if someone had already seen everything worth seeing that is currently in theaters), it's not like there's something wrong with not going to the theater when there's nothing decent to see.

Generally speaking, I'm not one to make it a point to go to the movie theater regardless of what is out. Heck, while I like the big screen, I've had enough bad experiences with other people talking, texting, and being generally rude that I'd rather avoid going unless I just really want to see a particular movie. And even then, I often regret going due to said rude people. Frankly I'd otherwise rather just stay home and watch something on my home theater instead.

It is good, but people were expecting more bombastic action since the first movie. So it was a change in pace with less action and setting up for The Avengers.

So we had Tony Stark finding himself again and discovering his own background and then moving forward. Which i thought in itself was really interesting, and made for a much more personal movie. But i can see why people who went to see it expecting bigger, badder and more explosions would find it boring. The only scene i didn't like was when he got drunk at his own party and wore the suit, i thought it was disrespectful to the character and was bad move, other than that it was a fine movie

Catwoman seemed like a movie created by committee on what they thought *clicks fingers* strong independent women *clicks fingers* wanted to see

I was watching it through my fingers the whole time and cringing throughout. If anything i thought just how insulting it was to women in general the whole thing was.

Don't you know Holmes? You can't joke about comic book movies, they're serious business.

This movie deserves to bomb as hard as it can. Ill take the earlier 2 FF movies over this ANY day. Cant wait till Marvel gets the rights back. Then & only then will we see a real Fantastic Four film. Even the director is trying to step away from it lol.
