This. I can take glorious reviews rather than flat out comparing it to something that always puts me off as I can never quite rid that thought when watching it. Probably the reason I rarely pay attention to it as opposed to it rarely paying off.

Cool. I figured with the plastic surgery and what not a lot of the horror would be centered around that. I'll go ahead and check it out then.

I usually never watch horror movie trailers but had to make the exception here, this looks fantastic.

Saw this the other night. I wouldn't call it a horror at all, it's a drama with horror elements.

The first 15 minutes are great and the last 15 minutes are great, the hour in the middle is snoozeville though and the 'twist' is pickable about 4 seconds in.

I still enjoyed it. The performance are great, it looks beautiful and the ending is so strong it makes up for the weak middle section.

I'd give it a solid 3.5/5.

I watched this last night and found it to be incredibly overrated. I was on the hype train for The Babadook and It Follows and loved both of those to death, but this, I found it simply to be mediocre.

[Show spoiler]I called the twist in the first 15 minutes, and from that point on, it's pretty much spot on to what is going on. Though I will never fully understand the mothers motives as to why she is allowing her "sons" do these gruesome things to her when she knows from the beginning her one son is having a mental breakdown/hallucinating. It just perplexed me. Part of me thinks she just wanted to die to be reunited with her husband and other son.

I never found the film to be 'scary' or 'frightening' in the least bit and just found it to be another entry in the torture porn category, albeit more artsy and never over the top like the SAW films
