I've only ever pre-ordered video games at Best Buy, but when I have they only had me put down like $5 then I paid the rest at pick-up. Not sure if it's any different for movies, but I'd be surprised if the pre-order policy wasn't uniform across media

ridiculous that bestbuy.com does not let you pre-order with an option to pick up in store. |

I agree, you can often switch to in-store as the release date gets closer. That is what I've done on the past few Marvel releases.

I can get behind that, I saw two guys walk out of there with, at least, 5 or 6 copies of Guardians of the Galaxy on release day. You know they ended up on Ebay. That kind of stuff is infuriating.

The reason why this is $19.99 down is because if you change your mind. You will not get a refund because of the digital copy was included and that's not refundable. So this guarantees Best Buy will get $20 out of you no matter what

Makes sense, I was wondering about that. No big deal, I don't mind paying it all today. About to head over there to pre-order and pick up The Knick ~

Just a friendly reminder folks....when you are expecting something to be sent via email, ALWAYS check your spam/junk mail folder. Don't always assume it will hit your inbox, so check there just in case, you may find your code there. Better to be safe than sorry.
While mine took less than five minutes to get, it does say on the site it can take anywhere between 30 minutes and 8 hours to process the code portion of the order. Last edited by Kinsella5; 08-11-2015 at 05:57 PM. |

Here's a question...
If you are buying more than one of these preorder cards at Best Buy for different movies, should you get a different code for each movie on the receipt, or does it just give you one code for all of them? I ask because I just got back from Best Buy on my lunch break. I did the preorder card for both this movie and also Pitch Perfect 2 for my wife. Only one code is printed on the receipt. |
