I think the Wrestler is fine, not my favourite Aronofski though... I really enjoyed Sugarman lot more than I thought I would.

Had a chat with Plain for my website.

Plans for a Xavier Dolan Collection and their latest releases before the end of the year.

If anyone fancies a look:

Glad you got to talk to them!

Still not hugely excited about Still Alice, though I'm sure it's a good movie. Kinda surprising that Om Shanti Om isn't in the plans to be released this year, and I'm sad that Ernest & Celestine isn't. But I'm very excited for the rest, especially Oldboy! I wonder if that'll be their grand finale for 2015

Still Alice is an OK film, not great though. I even thought that Julianne Moore shouldn't have won the oscar..

Agreed, I thought Reese gave the best performance of the year...which leads me to craving a Plain release of Wild

For me Marion Cotillard and Rosamund Pike were equally deserving, and then Felicity Jones who was also brilliant. I didn't care for Wild that much.

Yikes. I didn't like Wild at all. Rosamund Pike all the way. Her performance in Gone Girl was polarizing. By far the best female performance I saw out of last year. Except maybe Alex Essoe in Starry Eyes, but that film is so far away from the Academy's radar.

So as someone who has never seen any of his films, is this a good thing? I'm aware of Mommy, and I've been wanting to see it for a while. But looking at his IMDB, I haven't even heard of any of the other films he has directed. I guess it must mean something that he was part of the Grand Jury at Cannes this year.

Mommy is a bloody masterpiece. Now I know we won't see Plain's version till 2016 I suppose I'll have to pick up that crappy UK DVD release.

Yeah, that's very strange. They had in hand photos of the slip boxes for over a month now. Maybe they got so much backlash on it that they are canceling that release? I remember a lot of people were less than enthusiastic about a Bollywood film being released. I hope that's not the case.

Seriously, that would be beyond absurd. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

I haven't seen his films other than Mommy and Tom at the Farm, both of which I really enjoyed. I am really eager to see the other three of his films. Btw he has a film called It's Only the End of the World coming up in 2016, starring Marion Cotillard and Lea Seydoux from Blue is the Warmest Colour, so cannot wait for that!!

I doubt they'd cancel it, especially after that long blog post defending their selection of it. I guess they're just not satisfied with the designs for it anymore, or maybe they're contractually obligated to get some of these newer releases like Frank and Still Alice out sooner? Who knows, besides Plain haha

Have you seen Two Days One Night yet? Marion Cotillard is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! She's by far my favourite actress working today.
