I bought one of the pre-order cards yesterday. We'll see how that goes!

I went via pre-order card, have the Steelbook reserved, and might watch the film digitally this weekend ...

Most of the cards are marked $19.99. You pay that up front and usually that covers all of the cost.
There are others like the Disney which you only put $5 down. Then on release day you come in and pay the remaining balance. The Walking Dead one is the same as well.

I'm really starting to hate steelbooks. They are so damned delicate that even the slightest tap will give it a horrendous scratch or dent. I had my Scarface steel away in a drawer (I don't recall ever moving it or bumping into the drawer) and it has a massive scratch out of nowhere

I'm still getting the Mad Max steel, as well as AoU, Rogue Nation, and Southpaw, but I WON'T be taking them out of the shrink wrap. Stupid steelbooks.

You need to protect those steels. I recommend checking out Steelbook Central or Blu-Ray Steelshells.

They have protective slips you can buy for that reason, personally I open all my steels, they're collectable and I like to be able to watch them.

I've never had one of my mine scratched before.

Stick em up on the bookshelf and there's no reason to think they'll get scratched.

Damn, that's how you can tell I'm a rookie blu-ray collector. I had no idea those were even things. I'll definitely check them out, thanks!

What's your shelf made out of? I have a wooden media rack so I'm scared the steels will scuff.

Not sure if I would've received 3 codes has I done 3 separate orders. I gave my code to a forum buddy, so it's really not a big issue to me either way.
My guess is BB is doing one code per account?
No, they're definitely sending a code for each order. I placed two orders, but the first order I placed didn't have the free early code on my order form at the time, so I had to email them to let them know. I had my second code within 48 hours after my email. I kept one code for myself, and I ended up giving the other one away in my thread. If you placed all three orders separately and on the same day, (the 11th) you're entitled to get three codes. Send them an email for the other two.

I personally recommend the Steel shells from blu-steels. Those are fantastic. My entire collection is protected by those.

I set the ones I have on the shelf haven't had one scratch yet. Main thing be careful taking the disc in and out so you don't drop it.

Checked today on my BB steel its off of backorder yes.
