For each flawless Trials of Osiris run, you are guaranteed 3 Etheric Lights (1 in the Silver Package, 1 in the Gold Package, and 1 from opening the chest of Mercury).

If you get three flawless runs a week (once per character), you will have a total of 9.

You can only get Etheric Light from POE 34 and 35.

I haven't run it at all yet. wouldn't mind trying to get the weapon and then the armor.

Finally jumped back into it this weekend after taking a break from Destiny since April. So with the new update rolling out and all Year 1 gear becoming obsolete, what does that do to our existing inventory? All my exotics are worthless? I was able to buy a piece of Year 2 Vangaurd gear that blows all my other pieces away and no need to upgrade anything.

I've got three exotic bounties that have been in my inventory since December. Should I even bother with them or just discard them? Seems kind of pointless to grind so much for so little in return if all the rewards will soon be removed or nerfed.

I def want to give it a try though. I was looking online for what exotic bounty I had on my warlock that I was ignoring for so long and stumbled across the fate of all fools bounty.

Looks like it'll have trials requirements to get it.

Yes. But there's an exotic bounty online listing the requirements.

I would have to think they'll eventually put it in the game.

Oh, I see. I thought you stated that you have the bounty. Everything I read says that the bounty is not available.

Do your bounties, they will be the most up to date versions of those guns and that is the only way you can get them anyway.

I'm finally jumping into the PS4 version of this game (year 1 Xbox One vet, got every exotic weapon, all 3 level 34 characters). I wanna be able to play with my friends from my old town and they all have it for the PS4 and instead of spending $40 just for the new DLC I'd rather pay $80 for the CE on a different console as opposed to buying it all over again for the same system. Also my XBLG just expired and I've been sitting on a year of PS+ for years. I really want to the LE PS4 but I can't justify buying another PS4. I knew I should have waited.

Anyway feel free to add me (SlaughterX) as I need to make a whole new group of friends now.

Hello!

So I'm a Destiny noob: bought the game for $9 a month or so ago and test the waters before TTK (spoiler: I like it and I'm getting it). I went with the Titan class and I've got it up to 32. From my understanding, the materials required to upgrade armor any higher would require participating in events that require a DLC purchase. Also, whether this was short-sighted or not, I ranked up to 32 by equipping 3 out of 4 armor slots from crucible armor and spending crucible marks (the 4th from an engram, cryptarch must have gave it to me by accident )

Here's my question: I've got TTK pre-ordered and there's no reason to spend money on the DLC now. With 3 weeks until TTK releases, what would be a better utilization of my time: 1)ranking up my vanguard rep. I ask this because it's not even halfway to rank 2 and Bungie sent me an email last week saying "Ensure instant access to the Vanguard's revamped weaponry in the Taken King by achieving Vanguard Reputation Rank 3."

Or option 2 is to spend my time starting a second character and working on getting that rank up so that I can start having more use of weekly events, especially once I unlock all DLC. I'm aware there will be a spark of light or something that will instantly bring a character up to 25, but I was thinking about using that on a THIRD character to I would have all 3 slots to use for daily/weekly events if needed.

I don't know that I'll have time to both with some weekend work shifts right now, but if anyone has any input or other advice for this newbie, it would be much appreciated.

Do you have both The Dark Below and House of Wolves DLC? If not, then you won't be able to get TTK. You'll probably want to get to level 34 before TTK comes out, because you'll start out at whatever level you are now in the new DLC. By doing so, it'll probably make things easier for you when the expansion comes out.

I'm getting the legendary edition with Dark Below, House of Wolves and TTK for $50

I can't get to 34 because, from what I read, armor has to be upgraded with Etheric Light from PoE, Osiris, or the Nightfall, none of which I have access to.

If that doesn't happen then I will have to get the legendary edition even though I already have the game.
