According to BB.Com this is on sale for $22.99 and the regular edition is $27.99. Anybody see any of the show? Is it worth a blind buy?

Here's the RT page:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/tut/s01/

42% so far but only 19 total reviews. I'll probably skip it unless the Metalpak blows me away with it's awesomeness

Default Tut

I wouldn't buy this one due to below average review and doesn't include a UV copy.

This site's listing says it includes UV, why do you think it doesn't?

I'm kind of afraid to open mine cuz it doesn't have the ultra violet sticker anywhere on it, and I don't want to be stuck with a non UV copy of this (mine doesn't even have the exclusive Best Buy metalpak sticker on it... weird)

What a boring, lame release. Spike clearly isn't full of themselves by embossing their channel name on the front...

I wanted to catch this on TV as I'm a fan of all things ancient Egyptian, but the trailers just didn't wow me enough to make time for it. I don't have a DVR.

I had actually caught this when it was broadcast on Spike, though not really looking for it that first night it aired, as I was flipping through the channels. It was decent to good, and being a historical drama, mixes a lot of fiction with some facts, which is par for the course for most of these types of dramas. If a blind buy for someone, IMBD has it with a 7.5 out of 10 rating, for what that's worth.

That being said, if this wasn't in Metalpak packaging, it would be on my "will get eventually" list.

The Metalpak is really sturdy, and the finish is not so glossy that it is like running your fingers across freshly polished wood furniture like some releases are...just the right amount on this release.

The only strike for me is the embossing, just don't like when they do that. I'll have to put a very slim piece of cardboard between this and the title next to it on the shelf. Over time, the impression from the embossing would leave its impressions on the back of that other title, as my collection on the shelves is somewhat tightly stacked.

Mine didn't have the stickers either, nor did the other 3 copies BB had at the one I went to, but the UV copy is in there.
