I keep hearing that this cut is better, but no matter how many different ways you rearrange a turd, it's still a piece of shit

Someone else mentioned how the Amazon listing says this has a 118 minute run time. I know there was stuff left out of the producers cut bluray from the complete collection. I know it's probably just a mistake but I would be thrilled if this was a different cut from what we already got.

SO glad I didn't break down and get the box set JUST for this! Didn't think a stand alone release would come.

Yup. I believe SF produced most/all of the extras on their release. That along with the low MSRP tells me that this release will be barebones.

Not long ago it seemed inconceivable this would ever get a legit home release. Now a blu-ray is available for $7.99 pre-order

Default Different Cut?

The release in the Ultimate Box set is simply called "Producers Cut" while this is being called an "Unrated" version on the Producers cut? We think it is the same just being called unrated?

I can't imagine it being any different.

The limited box set lists it as unrated too, unless Miramax is willing to submit the Producer's Cut to the MPAA... it's always going to be unrated.

You at least get a digital copy with this version.

Hmm, the cover only says Blu-Ray + Digital HD but there's no mention of UV. Could this be one of those digital copies that requires a disc? Do they even still do that? That would be unfortunate, but it would explain things.

Could it be that they have plans to put both the Theatrical Cut and the Producers cut in the same package? They do own the rights to Halloween 6-8. Hopefully that Best Buy listing is correct. I love me a good package. 2 Cuts of a film for 7.99... can't beat that.

If it really is 2 discs, this has to be what is going on.

Lionsgate usually lets you choose UV or iTunes, sometimes both; so the art says Digital HD generically because of this.
