For all the people that made it to Best Buy this morning. Did any of you notice if there was a lot copies of the Star Wars Rebel Blu ray sets available?

This is no doubt going to be a sought after steelie, sooo glad that my BB actually picked my pre-order correctly and had it at the counter. There was none in the store and none in any nearby surrounding stores either said the cashier.

And it's a gorgeous steel!

I'd be interested to know who these apparent Steel-fiends are!? I mean, I feel like our community here is insane enough but who are these faceless steelbook vultures in our local towns? why aren't they on this forum? are they even truly alive? is it the government? thanks, Obama.

Just tried to do the right thing. I've seen this guy do it before with Captain America and Guardians of The Galaxy. He bought about 12 of those.

I just came back from picking up my preorder from BB. At least a dozen people were there as it opened. I felt glad that I had one reserved because the 8-10 steels they had on the shelf didn't survive the first wave. It was a big display from a big BB also. I already saw some disappointed people looking for steels on my way out. Preordering is the only way to go for me. The rush and anxiety of getting there early and maybe or maybe not getting one just isn't for me. I felt a little of it not knowing for sure if they held one for me. Next time I'll just have it shipped because I preordered late this time.

It also got me thinking that it's kind of stupid that they produce so few steels when they're so popular. It seems wrong that so many will miss out just because they had to work or couldn't get there by the time the store opens. Even if half the display was steels, they'd still sell them all pretty quickly and BB won't get anything from EBay resellers so I don't see the point in such limited quantities.

What a jerk that guy is trying to do this on multiple occasions. That's really cocky if you ask me. You should get a picture of his face and hand it over to BBY's security at the front. Next time there's a steelbook release like this one, they'll hopefully spot him and deny him more than one copy.

Went to 2 of my local Best Buys in OC - Tustin and Costa Mesa...and none were on display. Asked one of the employees stocking the blu-ray shelves and he said the only steelbooks they had available were for those who pre-ordered. I saw on his cart about 10 copies...and unfortunately they were all for pre orders.

Didn't pre order but grabbed the last 2 copies at Best Buy during lunch time. Someone had placed them behind some Disney movies and I randomly came across them

I was there at opening and there must have been 8-10 people waiting. Everyone dashed to the cardboard display. By the time I got to the display they were gone. I walked to the regular movie section and there were 3 left. I picked the best one and I set the others down, and they were gone in seconds. A few people bought 2 copies. They probably had 12 copies or so. This one is going to be sought after for sure.
