Was hoping for a separate release of Bad Boys II, with a slipcover to match the first film... But if a double-feature is the only way to go, I'll gladly double-dip.

My guess is that they will release BB 1 & 2 as a collection or whatever (digibook maybe?), and plus a separate releases for BB 1 (4K remaster) and BB 2.

Just a guess.

But it's BB 2 that deserves a 4K remaster

Anyway, as soon as I can pick up BB 2 in HD, I'll be doing that.

This is a Blu-ray debut for BB 2, hence it can't be a remaster, but I'm sure it will be a 4K transfer (remastered in 4K, not the actual 4K) .

I hope it's a 4K transfer. This is my favourite action movie. It's too much in every sense of the word, and that's why I love it

I only need 2 action movies in my collection : Bad Boys 2, and the 4K remaster of Die Hard that we're all waiting on.

BTW the second one was apparently finished at 2K, so it'll be interesting to see how Sony approach this latest release. Doesn't look like it qualified for the 'Supreme Cinema' series.

Nice. It came along a year before Sony did their first 4K DI (Spider-Man 2 in 2004) so does this mean they did a 4K rebuild?

Excellent! My brother and I recently tried to watch his Bad Boys II DVD on his Blu-ray player, and the image quality was horrible. We had to watch something else instead. He'll definitely be excited to know it's finally coming to Blu. I'm not really a Will Smith fan, but I like II for the action and comedy. That scene in the morgue with Martin Lawrence getting grossed out always cracks me up.
