I was under the impression that the 24th space would be for Spectre.

So the individual releases are getting slipcovers at Walmart?

Does one really need the same horrible photo shopped artwork twice?

Same here. I spent a small fortune several years ago buying the four-volume "Ultimate Edition" DVD box sets in order to finally have a complete, matching collection of the films. They look great, so I'm happy with those and would rather spend the money on something else.

I don't really see the point in buying a collection like this. If there's one certainty in this world, it's that there will always be more Bond movies. I much prefer my individual cases for each movie. But hey, as long as we all love the Bond movies and own them, that's all that matters.

I guess the plan is to release a new set every time a new Bond film comes out. I actually really like the 50th anniversary set. It marks 50 years of James Bond and in that regard is "complete" as far as the Eon productions are concerned. And I paid 100 dollars for it. That's less than 5 bucks a movie. Much cheaper than buying the films individually. And It did come with a bonus disc, even though it must go down in history as one of the most disappointing extra discs of all time.

Yes, that's right I recall reading that. I can't see them adding it to one of the discs as I imagine they'd just re-release the extant ones. Maybe there will be a 25th hub or they'll just throw it in a paper sleeve. Who knows. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Keeping my Bond 50 set and will just buy SPECTRE. Not going to double dip even though I would love digital copies.

Snagged the Connery/Moore/Brosnan and Craig volumes off of deep discount for a good price, a total of 20 movies for 88 dollars isn't too bad I think.

I will pick up the two Dalton's individually later, the two pack doesn't have digital copies.

Have no interest in OHMSS.

Is my tale of actually buying something completely dull? Do I need to spice it up?

You're just the right amount of spicy.

You should check out OHMSS. Judged purely as a film many people, including me, consider it far and away the best in the entire series. Some hate Lazenby, I happen to love him, but regardless of his performance the film itself is brilliant.

It's all right. I'd be curious to know when the "OHMSS is secretly the best Bond film" movement began. Think that's a bit much, myself. But yeah, it's all right.

That said, Telly Savalas is my favorite Blofeld. Compared to him, even the Donald Pleasence version can take a flying leap.

Also, whenever I watch Face/Off which is almost never, and I see the part where they use that device to make Nicholas Cage talk like John Travolta (or vice versa depending on how you look at it), it reminds me of Bond talking like Sir Hilary Bray. To this day, though, I don't know how Bond did it. Is he just that good of an impressionist? Even the real Hillary Bray was just like, "uh, sure, whatever man" when Bond starting imitating his voice.

OHMSS is my second-favorite of the series. When I really started to explore the whole series in depth when I was in high school, it was the last one I watched. I kept putting it off because of its reputation, but when I finally saw it I was like "What's everyone talking about? This is one of the best Bond movies!"

I'm still waiting for the world to declare that Licence to Kill is secretly the best one. Then I'll be excited.

I just could never get into OHMSS, I have watched it numerous times and it just never clicked with me.

Licence To Kill on the other hand is awesome.
