So from browsing Reddit, it seems like it's a waste of legendary marks to buy a legendary engram from the Cryptarch unless you're at least light level 280. They're saying you should spend your legendary marks with the Vanguard if you want a legendary armor piece. You'll get better gear if you do so.

So I just got to Rank 1 with the Gunsmith. It opened up "Foundry Orders". I had a choice between 5 different 280 Attack weapons that I could order. Apparently I could only choose one, so I went with Suros DIS-43...a scout rifle. The thing that sucks though, is that I have to wait until next Wednesday (armsday) to get the gun.

So far I completely agree. If Year 1 had a Halo vibe merely from game mechanics, now so far Year 2 has it in the story. I actually feel like something is happening story-wise and I'm trying to accomplish something versus randomly shooting crap after simply being told the universe is going into darkness so now take my useless pulse rifle and go kill stuff. Evidently not having time to explain why they didn't have time to explain REALLY is the Year 1 theme. The joke was on us.

New Monarchy finally broke me off with an awesome Faction Ship, and I went ahead and bought the Year 2 Thunderlord.

Cannot wait to fully unlock the subclass. Also, tracking targets is.... lol..... um, quite awesome, but wow it seems a bit too powerful. (not complaining, just saying)

Have had a few situations already in the Crucible where someone thinks they are "hiding" from me, LOL nope.

YES LOL. It's the best for this. You know exactly what corner they'll come around. Wrecked shop with that perk doing the Daily Salvage today.

The best thing about year 2 so far is that I haven't had to wait 3 rounds to progress for anything. That was every level in year 1 and got very annoying after the 5-6 time.

Also, in control your grenades (the one that creates like a fire wall type thing) and smoke grenade are just awesome, you can put an area on lock down, imagine 2 nightstalkers on a zone. I also have poison added to my smoke grenades.

There is an exotic out there that will give you 2 smoke grenades. I want.

Nightstalker is indeed awesome, only getting better as they level up. I would say for PVP purposes the Stormcaller may be the best though, I saw a guy able to cover a considerable distance for a super and everything in his path was just toast with the lightning field of effect so massive no one could avoid him if he caught you in one of those tunnel like corridors that populate the new maps.

Hawkmoon has two perks, Luck in the Chamber and Holding Aces which give 3 random bullets in the magazine bonus damage. The sound lets you know which round it was.

The quest is called Legend of the Warlock, Legend of the Hunter, or Legend of the Titan. If you don't see it then, check the abandoned missions kiosk to see if it is there. Like I said earlier, you might have to head to orbit and back to the tower to progress the steps because it wants you to meet a certain level requirement and it doesn't advance it by simply talking to the character. It only advanced for me by coming back to the tower.
