I recognize that neither of you are bothered by PAL-speedup, but that's likely because you're Europeans and have known it all your life. To Americans it can be extremely distracting, and as this is an English-language film made and released on BD by an American film studio, I'm sure there is interest in the disc from Americans. I have owned plenty of PAL-sped-up discs, including BDs. PAL-speedup looks the same on every disc, there's no need to see an individual disc to know it's distracting to many Americans.

I was just trying to help people by giving them important technical information about the disc they could only otherwise find by plowing through 10+ pages of discussion in two separate threads.

You haven't seen the disc. Simple as that. You cannot judge it. There's no getting around that truth.

Imagine if reviewers based their reviews on what they THINK a disc is like, instead of actually watching the disc. Who on earth would take them seriously ?

Sadly, It appears that you would.
