Went to my local Walmart tonight and they had 6 copies no slipcover. I bought the box set last year so i have no interest in getting this but does this one have all the special features that the one in the box set has?

I'm kinda torn with this release I liked the video and plot of the producers cut but I liked the the score and sound effects of the theatrical.

Yeah the PC doesn't use the guitar sounds and loud beats during the death scenes. I much prefer the theatrical score for the most part.

Sorry when you are watching a Halloween movie with such name it should sound creepy and have the iconic theme not gutiar rifs.even the ending was horrible with them leaving in the jeep and Loomis screaming at the end giving the impression Michael finally killed him. I would highly recommend anyone who can find the scream factory 2 disk set selling on eBay should dish out the extra cash to watch the special features if you didn't buy the deluxe set.they prove dimension screwed up the theatrical release by basically changing everything including the score

The 2-disc set in the complete collection is so great. I bought the individual release just to have it in a separate case and because I'm such a fan of Halloween 6.

I thought that I would prefer the score for the producer's cut after seeing it in bootleg form for so many years, but after properly watching both versions, I actually much prefer the theatrical score. And it is nice to have a bit of a different take on the iconic theme.

I also much prefer the theatrical third act. I think the producers cut through that would have been a lot better if they wouldn't have used the controlled Michael angle. Michael should never be controlled.

I wish there was a fanedit that combined the best aspects of both cuts (maybe there is, but I haven't found one).

I'm a fan of the theatrical cut just because it's so batshit crazy; none of the stuff they added on during reshoots made a lick of sense, but it sure was entertaining. I also love the producer's cut, aside from that weak rune stone crap. It's really a draw.

The tv cut is the closest thing to a perfect cut if you are a fan of the theatrical cut but wanted extra scenes from the p-cut (that don't tack on the p-cut's Thorn and Wynn centric story), it just has violence and cursing edited down. Some day I plan on making a perfect cut, but as of right now I have no video editing software.

I got this release earlier in the week as a gift. Like I said earlier, it looks to be the same as the SF disc minus all of those really great extras and one lousy digital HD code. Speaking of, I have no use whatsoever for the digital copy, so whoever still does not have this feel free to get ahold of me for the code free of charge of course

I love BOTH versions of Halloween 6, but I would say I prefer The Producer's Cut over the theatrical. They both have their pluses, but I consider the P-Cut the superior version. One of those reasons is the soundtrack in the P-Cut uses a lot of Carpenter's themes from the original and I think it works better because of the slow build in suspense and slower pace.

The theatrical cut is a faster paced version (IMO), with some crazy, fast editing and the guitar riff works in this context. Either way, Halloween 6 is my 3rd favorite "Halloween" film, right after Carpenter's original and Halloween II (1981).

While I prefer the P-cut over the T-cut, as a fan of the band that was once known as Brother Cane, I had totally forgotten the P-Cut didn't have 'Fools Shine' on during the credits, which was a bit of a let down. I'll have to re-watch the P-cut again but I think they removed the other Brother Cane songs that played during the film as well in the P-cut.

Some reviewer said they only used 'And Fools Shine On' because it was a popular rock song at the time so it would attract young viewers, then went on how the earlier films never had to do that. I guess he forgot that 'Don't Fear (The Reaper)' was big with young people when the original film used it.

Yes. Still to this day, every time I hear that Brother Cane song, I think of Halloween 6. It's on my Galaxy phone right now. For me, that song has to be in the movie.

Saw four copies at one of my Walmarts this afternoon. No slipcovers. One had a packaging error that resulted in a second title sticker being placed upside-down on the front cover, underneath the shrink wrap. Made me laugh.

Honestly, I don't like the theatrical version very much. I seen the Producers Cut on YouTube several years ago. And the quality was crap. But it gave me a newer respect for the film. I had many compliments about the mask and the Michael in general. The movements just looked awkward.. But the Producers cut is really leagues better. I haven't gotten the collectors set yet.. Due to the price. But I got the single release of it a few days ago. Watched it for the first time in HD. And really reminded me how much I love the producers cut. I enjoyed it more now than I did back then. I really love the entire storyline and the entire cult premise of it.

If you haven't kept up with what the singer of BC has been up to (he's been up to a lot) you should check out CDbaby and look up Damon Johnson. He's got two solo albums out and one of them features him playing an acoustic version of And Fools Shine On and it sounds great, not as great as the electric version but great regardless.

But yeah, the P-cut seems to be missing all three of the BC songs the t-cut has/had. I swore the old bootleg of the p-cut I had, while the song wasn't in the credits, the BC songs were still in the film. But maybe whoever made the p-cut version spliced them in. The bootleg I had, which I wish I kept, had a really cool menu interface, an interview Entertainment Tonight did with Donald, and I believe it had the video for And Fools Shine On.

When it comes to the single disc version that Lionsgate put out, the only extra I'd have liked to have seen on it would be that Entertainment Tonight interview with Donald, which I bet the P-cut of H6 that comes with the deluxe set doesn't even have. One of the reasons I usually don't care for the extra's on bd's is because the interviews are "in house", so that means the questions have been ok'd by the studio and actors. I prefer interviews where the studio doesn't have to give consent to what is or isn't asked, and I prefer non brown nosing interviews. For example, when Nightmare on Elm Street was being heavily boycotted by parent advocate groups, Englund was asked by random entertainment shows if he felt responsible for this or that, which is something an in house interview wouldn't touch on.

The first time I ever saw this I hated it, one of the main aspects I hated was the way it was edited, all the strobe light sequences drove me nuts and the stinger sound effect that would be played to make the audience jump was over used. These days I don't know what I was complaining about. It's definitely one of the better films in the series.

I would love this release but it's not available in the UK. Does it contain the theatrical cut as well.
